🔥 4,500–8,000 Years Old: Native American Old Copper Artifacts! 🔥
I’m beyond excited to share this new frame of some of the nicest Old Copper Culture pieces I’ve uncovered recently. 🙌
Swipe through and check out the knives, spear points, copper ring, jewelry fragments, and a few awls—each one crafted thousands of years ago and preserved in incredible condition. The detail and workmanship from this era never stop amazing me. 🤯
Every find is recovered with permission, fully documented, site-mapped, GPS-recorded, and handled with the respect ancient history deserves. Preserving this heritage is everything to me. ❤️

🔥 6,000–5,000 Year Old American Indian Copper Spearhead FOUND! 🔥
This summer was absolutely incredible for Jared and I. We uncovered a stunning A-1 Triangulate American Indian copper spearhead, and the craftsmanship on this piece is unreal. The median ridge runs perfectly from the tip all the way to the base, showing the insane skill and time that went into making it thousands of years ago.
📏 Approx. 6 inches long 🧱 Old Copper Culture artifact 🧭 Extremely rare discovery
Finds like this almost never happen, we were both very fortunate to have this experience! we’re still buzzing from the excitement. We also uncovered a few more Copper Culture pieces — I’ll be posting them tomorrow along with full measurements, photos, and a detailed write-up of the entire site.
Stay tuned… this discovery is just the beginning. 🤯
Yesterday Jared and I discovered this beautiful 1700s silver cross, it measures roughly 4 inches long and is stamped RC for its makers mark. The RC stand for Robert Cruickshank, whom was in business from 1767-1809. It is amazing to imagine how and why this silver cross got here, was it traded to a Native American? Did a lost explorer lose it along the river? If only this piece of history could talk... full video will be out on YouTube and my Facebook page tomorrow, check it out 😉
Sturgeon spear early 1900s, this spear most certainly belonged to a poacher. You are only allowed to spear sturgeon on certain lakes in the area I was on. Spearing sturgeon on the river is highly illegal, especially during the spring of the year during spawning carries up to 20 years in prison because they're are a protected fish. Found multiple diffrent spears in this area, all left around the same high bank, everything you discover metal detecting tells a story, I would like to belive these were thrown up on the bank because these guys had DNR wardens after them... we'll never know but always fun to imagine.
Old Copper Culture spear head... this piece is absolutely amazing, has a median ridge and slight bevel, its style is a corner notch projectile point in design. This is not your average finished OCC piece by any means... most likely Archaic dating to about (6500-5500YA), but there is a chance it could be from the hopewell time period.
It was a good day on the water yesterday, discovered tons of artifacts and relics, One eagle military button, 1812-1840. 5 complete projectile points, 9 broken. One Old copper culture rolled bead and pounding. And 2 British gun flints. The two webesa contracting stembed projectile points, (1800-2500YA), two corner notch's both ground bases,(5500-8000YA). And one needle tipped stemmed point, (2500-5000YA). Yesterday was a great day, in the process we saved and documented some truly fascinating Native American history.
1700s Native American Tomahawk: posted the full video 6 months ago, thought I should share pictures of it cleaned. If you zoom in you will notice the engraved of triangles and hashes along the back side, beautiful artwork done by the Native American!
