"THE LOOM ORIGINATED" around 6000 BC in Mesopotamia as a simple tool for weaving cloth by hand. It developed in civilizations such as Egypt and Greece. In the 18th century, John Kay's invention of the Flying Shuttle accelerated the weaving process, sparking an industrial revolution in textiles. Modern, automated looms are now common, but traditional looms such as the ATBM are still used in some cultures, including Indonesia, to produce distinctive fabrics.

The tools for weaving cloth consist of several main components:
Loom, Bobbin, Gear, Treadle, and Heddle.

These tools work together to produce various types of woven cloth with various patterns.

And most of these weaving craftsmen, the way they make it varies, depending on how difficult the motif they make is. The more difficult the motif, the more it can take weeks - months.
