📯 ONE DAY, THE TRUMPET WILL SOUND.
Every Yom Teruah, we gather, watch and sound the shofar.
But Scripture tells us another trumpet is coming.
☁️ “They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven... with a loud trumpet call.” — Matthew 24:30–31
📯 “The Lord himself will come down from heaven... with the trumpet call of God.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16
👑 “Every eye will see him.” — Revelation 1:7
One day, the shofar will no longer simply remind us that our King is coming.
WE WILL SEE HIM. 😭🙌🏽
So let Yom Teruah awaken your heart:
📯 Wake up.
🕯️ Keep your lamp burning.
👀 Keep watch.
☁️ Look up.
👑 THE KING IS COMING.
Chag Sameach! 📯💜

🌿 SABBATH REST
Your body isn't the only thing that gets tired.
Your mind does too.
Sometimes we carry:
💭 conversations
💭 fears
💭 responsibilities
💭 worst-case scenarios
💭 tomorrow's problems
💭 yesterday's regrets
until our minds never truly become quiet.
But Sabbath reminds us:
You were never created to carry everything continually.
There is a time to stop.
A time to breathe.
A time to worship.
A time to release.
A time to remember that God remains God even while you rest.
📖 “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3
Today, give your mind permission to become quiet before God.
You don't have to solve everything today.
You don't have to understand everything today.
You don't have to carry tomorrow today.
🌿 Rest your body.
🌿 Quiet your mind.
🌿 Guard your peace.
🌿 Turn your attention toward God.
🔥 Sometimes spiritual warfare looks like refusing to let fear steal the rest God gave you.
Sabbath Shalom, family. 💛

💭 LET'S TALK, FAMILY…
Why do you think mental health can still be difficult to talk about in Christian spaces?
Is it:
✨ fear of judgment?
✨ shame?
✨ being told to “just pray”?
✨ fear of appearing spiritually weak?
✨ not knowing who is safe to talk to?
✨ misunderstanding mental health?
✨ believing Christians shouldn't struggle?
We want to hear from YOU. 👇🏽
Because silence doesn't always mean someone is okay.
Sometimes the person worshipping beside you is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
Let's become communities where people can say:
💛 “I'm struggling.”
💛 “I need prayer.”
💛 “I need help.”
💛 “I need someone to walk with me.”
…without being shamed.
🎙️ This week's episode:
Battlefields of the Mind: Mental Health & Spiritual Warfare Pt. 1
If this conversation could help someone you know, share it with them. 💛

Look closely at this graphic.
A seed is planted.
Roots develop.
Eventually, fruit appears.
Our thought lives can develop patterns in a similar way.
Something enters your mind:
“Nobody cares about me.”
You rehearse it.
Then you begin noticing every moment that seems to confirm it.
A text goes unanswered.
“See?”
Someone doesn't invite you.
“I knew it.”
Someone seems distracted when you're talking.
“Nobody really cares.”
Eventually, something that began as a thought can start functioning like a deeply held belief.
And beliefs affect how we interpret life.
That's why the question isn't merely:
“What am I thinking?”
Sometimes we also need to ask:
“What am I allowing to take root?”
But there's another side to this graphic that I love.
🌳 Roots can also be established in TRUTH.
“I am loved.”
“God has not abandoned me.”
“My present struggle is not my permanent identity.”
“I can ask for help.”
“I can heal.”
“I can learn healthier patterns.”
“I don't have to believe everything I think.”
🔥 Be careful what you water.
Not because every difficult thought is sinful or spiritual attack—but because repeated destructive thinking deserves our attention, discernment, and appropriate care.
🎙️ We're unpacking this conversation in:
Season 5 Episode 1: Battlefields of the Mind — Mental Health & Spiritual Warfare Pt. 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4Pnw...
💬 Reflection question:
What thought have you been watering lately—and is it producing the kind of fruit you want growing in your life?

⚔️ SOME BATTLES DON'T LOOK LIKE BATTLES.
There's no battlefield.
No visible enemy.
No sound of swords clashing.
Sometimes it's just you…
lying awake at 2:00 AM…
fighting something nobody else can see.
💭 Fear.
💭 Comparison.
💭 Condemnation.
💭 Intrusive or destructive thoughts.
💭 Old habits.
💭 Shame.
💭 Discouragement.
💭 The same lie you've rehearsed so many times it has begun sounding like your own voice.
That's part of what makes the battlefield of the mind so serious.
The graphic illustrates something powerful:
Thought → Belief → Habit → Character
But here's the good news:
🔥 The progression can be interrupted.
Scripture gives us weapons for how we think.
📖 2 Corinthians 10:5 — Take thoughts captive.
📖 Romans 12:2 — Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
📖 Philippians 4:8 — Become intentional about what occupies your thoughts.
But hear us carefully:
Renewing your mind does not mean pretending you're okay when you're not.
Faith doesn't require denying anxiety, grief, trauma, exhaustion, or mental-health struggles.
Sometimes winning today's battle may look like:
🙏🏽 praying.
📖 opening Scripture.
🗣️ telling someone you're struggling.
🧠 challenging a destructive thought.
💛 accepting support.
😴 resting.
👩🏽⚕️ speaking with a qualified professional.
🔥 resisting a spiritual lie.
The goal isn't pretending the battle doesn't exist.
It's learning how to fight the battle you're actually facing.

💛 YOU CAN LOVE GOD AND STILL NEED HELP.
Can we talk about this?
You can pray…
and still struggle with anxiety.
You can worship…
and still experience depression.
You can know Scripture…
and still carry trauma.
You can have faith…
and still need counseling, support, community, rest, or professional care.
🔥 Struggling does not automatically mean your faith is weak.
Sometimes people have suffered silently because they were afraid someone in the Church would tell them:
“Just pray harder.”
“You need more faith.”
“Stop thinking negatively.”
“It's just the devil.”
But people are complex.
We are spiritual.
We are emotional.
We are mental.
We are physical.
And wisdom means caring for the whole person.
There are real spiritual battles.
There are also real mental-health conditions.
And sometimes those realities can intersect.
Discernment matters.
Compassion matters.
Wisdom matters.
💭 Maybe instead of asking someone,
“Why aren't you stronger?”
we should ask:
“How can I walk with you while you heal?”

⚠️ NOT EVERYTHING IS THE DEVIL.
But not everything is just psychological either.
And that's exactly why we need discernment.
One of the most important conversations in Battlefields of the Mind Pt. 1 is learning not to automatically assign the same cause—and therefore the same response—to every struggle.
This graphic illustrates three possible fronts of conflict:
🔥 THE FLESH
Sometimes we're dealing with our own habits, desires, choices, wounds, patterns, or areas that require discipline, repentance, growth, and healing.
🌎 THE WORLD
Sometimes we're being affected by what surrounds us—social media, comparison, cultural expectations, relationships, environments, constant information, pressure, or unrealistic standards.
⚔️ THE ENEMY
And yes, Scripture teaches that spiritual opposition is real. There are times when lies, temptation, fear, accusation, deception, or discouragement require spiritual resistance, prayer, and truth.
But wisdom asks:
What am I actually dealing with?
Because if we misidentify the source, we may also choose the wrong response.
Sometimes you need prayer.
Sometimes you need rest.
Sometimes you need repentance.
Sometimes you need boundaries.
Sometimes you need community.
Sometimes you need counseling or qualified professional support.
And sometimes several of those things can be true at the same time.
That's why we aren't interested in reducing every mental-health struggle to:
“Just pray harder.”
Nor do we want to ignore the spiritual realities Scripture teaches.
🔥 We need discernment, not assumptions.

💬 LET'S TALK, FAMILY:
Why do you think Christians sometimes struggle to distinguish between a spiritual battle, emotional wound, unhealthy thought pattern, physical exhaustion, and a mental-health concern?

🧠 A STRONGHOLD DOESN'T USUALLY BEGIN AS A STRONGHOLD.
Sometimes it begins with something much smaller:
A thought.
“I'll never get better.”
“Something is wrong with me.”
“God has forgotten me.”
“I'm always going to be this way.”
At first, it's simply a thought.
But what happens when we continually rehearse it?
The graphic shows a progression worth paying attention to:
THOUGHT → BELIEF → HABIT → CHARACTER
A thought gets repeated and emotionally reinforced.
Eventually, we may begin accepting it as truth.
What we believe influences how we respond.
Repeated responses become patterns and habits.
And over time, those patterns can begin shaping how we see ourselves, God, other people, and the world around us.
That's why Scripture tells us:
📖 “…bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5
Notice where the battle can be interrupted:
🔥 At the thought.
You don't have to wait until something has built walls around your thinking before you challenge it.
Ask ourselves:
💭 Is this actually true?
📖 Does this agree with God's Word?
🔎 Where did this thought come from?
🧠 Is this something I need to process emotionally or psychologically?
🙏🏽 Is there a spiritual component requiring prayer and discernment?
Because not every thought deserves your agreement.
And this is an important part of our conversation in:
🎙️ Season 5 Episode 1: Battlefields of the Mind — Mental Health & Spiritual Warfare Pt. 1
Listen Now: https://youtu.be/_4Pnw_Rc5zk?si=K4Zee...
🔥 FINAL REMINDER:
A thought entering your mind and a thought governing your mind are two very different things.

God’s name is more than a title. In Scripture, His name reveals His character, authority, reputation, faithfulness, and power.
When we bear His name, we represent Him.
That means reverence cannot be limited to the words we use during worship. It must be visible in how we live, speak, serve, make decisions, and respond to His instructions.
This graphic accompanying Women of Valor, Episode 14: Distracted—Put Some Respect on His Name explores several sobering biblical lessons:
🔥 Nadab and Abihu: Worship cannot be redesigned around human preference.
⚡ Uzzah: Good intentions do not replace obedience to God’s instructions.
👑 Pharaoh: God will defend His authority against every false power.
🍷 Belshazzar: Holy things must never be treated as common.
📜 The Third Commandment: We must not carry God’s name falsely or emptily.
Consecration means being set apart for God. It is the decision to stop treating His presence casually and give Him the honor, obedience, and surrender He deserves.
Ask yourself:
🔎 Do I approach God with reverence or entitlement?
🔎 Have I allowed cultural familiarity to diminish my awe of Him?
🔎 Does my lifestyle honor the name I profess?
🔎 Am I obeying God—or merely offering Him what seems right to me?
📖 Reflect on Exodus 20:7, Leviticus 10:3, and 1 Peter 1:15–16.
💾 Save this graphic as a personal heart check.
