11th July 2025: In a historic and proud moment for Maharashtra, 12 forts associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's legacy have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List under the tag of "Maratha Military Landscapes of India." This global recognition comes as a major milestone in preserving and celebrating the Maratha empire's architectural and strategic brilliance.
