Abby Brody is an ongoing student of life, a teacher, education innovator, and founder of the N=1 Movement, which advocates for a more personalized, human-centered approach to K-12 education, acknowledging that each person’s circumstances and learning styles are unique.
Her belief in N=1 comes from both her experience launching and leading model schools and curriculum reform and as the mother of a son who at the age of five was diagnosed with a rare pediatric cancer, for whom standard treatment protocols didn’t work. This lead her create a blog that became a platform for advocacy, education, and community around the concept that just as no two people learn the same, no two patients respond the same to approved treatments, which is why we need to make precision medicine and personalized education available to all Americans.
