Indie Games Searchlight

Home of the Indie Games Searchlight, the show taking a look at lesser known games outside the mainstream. Why? Because it's fun for me!

If you're interested in having your game or a game you enjoy on the show, free free to e-mail me!

NOTE ON SENDING YOUR GAME: Please understand that I'm doing this in my free time and I cannot guarantee coverage on your game. I don't enjoy getting free codes on games knowing that they'll be handled better in other venues that do games coverage at a much more frequent pace. If the game/demo is free to play to the public then send away no problem! But for the commercial games, there is a chance I may never get a chance to do a video on your project. All people I've let know about this are perfectly fine with it but I'd like to give that disclaimer to those interested in coverage. Thanks much!

My views/opinions represent myself

Indie Games Searchlight

Cynicism has dominated 2020; not just within the situation we’re all in but in my own life. I’ve had my doubts about humanity, about everyone’s future, and for my little channel. I will be completely honest; I was terrified at posting a new video. I’m happy that I finally finished, posted it and It's something I’m passionate about but I anticipated a few comments like “can’t wait for the next video in 3 years” or “we don’t need another gaming channel.” I was mentally prepared for that rejection.

Funny thing though, that never happened.

Not a single comment since I’ve released those two videos were negative. The developers on twitter had some nice things to say about the video and a lot of old friends and fellow YouTubers welcomed me back too.

In a year full of cynicism and negativity it was a pleasant surprise to be completely wrong. To know that my silly channel still means a lot to all of you was breathtaking. From the bottom of my heart thank you all for having me back :D

A quick update: I’ve got a bunch of plates spinning for shorter freeware spotlights, a “hidden gems” with a special guest lined up, and fingers crossed a retrospective I’ve love to get done by the end of the year. And for future Zelda-likes, Blossom Tales seems to be a fan favorite; I will keep that in mind for next time!

In case you missed the latest video feel free to take a look-see at Indie Games Like Zelda!

But wait…you still like me and I’m still being watched? MY INDIE CRED! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!1
