Liu Jun wraps up choreography production for YingWuTang’s opening stage 🎭

Returning to YingWuTang once again, I came back as a choreographer in charge of creating the opening stage for the graduation performances. This time I set myself “ablaze”, the first time I tried fusing together stage performance, action performance and dance performance.

During the creation process of almost two weeks, I was in a “dissociated” state of mind, endlessly modifying the script and refining every detail in my brain 😂

Also music selection was a huge difficulty I faced this time around! Because theatrical performance versus artist stage performance is extremely different in terms of music. In order to find suitable music, that day I listened to more than 800 songs yet couldn’t find anything fitting, I was in shamnbles 🥴 And only after completing the script and music selection could I really get into the choreographing and creation process.

It’s been a really long time since I’ve experienced being under such huge pressure that I couldn’t sleep the night before practice, but I had the fortune in having the help from the teachers and cooperation of the students, that throughout the entire process the practice progressed as smoothly as it did. The final result of the stage being presented brought to me a really really huge sense of achievement! Thank you all 🫶!
