Steam Powered Giraffe
Three robots developed in 1896 whose skills are no longer needed by the long-dead people who created them.
Instead, they have turned their mechanical precision to harmony, which they would like to share with you through song and videos.
The quirky act combines comedic sketches, improvised banter, and original music fused with harmonies and robot pantomime.
Steam Powered Giraffe is a musical project from San Diego, California. It was formed in 2008 by twin siblings David Michael Bennett and Isabella “Bunny” Bennett. Together, along with a cast and crew filled with theatrical backgrounds, the group takes on the guise of singing antique automatons and the fictional robotics company that made them.
From their heartwarming nostalgic melodies to their funky cabaret rock, Steam Powered Giraffe’s songs are memorable, infectious, and as unique as the robots themselves.
More than just a band, Steam Powered Giraffe is an experience that must be seen and heard by the entire family.

More than just a band, Steam Powered Giraffe is a musical act that combines robot pantomime, comedy, and dance with harmony-filled music for an experience unlike anything you’ve seen before! Join the robots Rabbit, Zer0, and The Spine, alongside their human band members Chelsea, Camille, Lacey, and Davey for a 2 hour concert full of toe-tapping songs from 17 years of the band's harmony-filled repertoire.
The band also has VIP tickets available for this show that will get you closer seating to the stage and let you meet the band after the show!
Note: The VIP meet-and-greet line after the show will go through our merch table and then onto the band where you can chat briefly with them, get autographs, and take a photo! We'll have a staff member that can take a photo for you with your own phone /camera, or you can also take a selfie.
Non-VIP ticket holders can still queue up in a "just merch" line after the show to purchase merchandise, including pre-signed autographed photos/show posters.

Here’s more info on one of the non-concert events at The Asylum festival in the UK in August! (NOTE: The concert Sunday night is sold out).
The tea event with the band will be happening Friday August 22. The band will be out-of-makeup and costume this day, as a chance to meet the performers behind the characters. But fear not, the band will be in full makeup and costumes for all planned Saturday events (details on those soon), and the Sunday concert...naturally.
Festival wristband and tea party ticket required for entry. There is no age limit for the tea party but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult who must also have a tea party ticket and a festival wristband.
