The elders have been in discussion most of the day concerning the current weather situation. As you likely know, our area is under a Tropical Storm Warning for tonight and tomorrow. The latest reports we have seen expect winds between 30-50 mph for tonight, with heavy downpours.
We have decided based on the forecast that we should cancel our regular Wednesday night Bible classes.
We understand that future weather conditions are unpredictable. We further understand that making a decision to cancel several hours before could mean that the weather would be just fine at 7:00 tonight. However, we believe that the flooding that occurs in our parking lot, along with the deterioration of road conditions that could occur while we are in class, leading to a dangerous situation heading home after classes, makes this decision necessary.
