Wecome to my channel! I hope you like my content!

In real life I'm a voice actor and singer, but I used to be in IT for some 23 years.

In the years I have worked in IT, I didn't really have the drive to tinker with computers at home, but as soon as I quit my job... the hobby started coming back to me! On this channel, I will post irregular videos about computer-related stuff that interests me.

If you're looking for a NAS, that does... NAS things... you might want to look at TerraMaster's offerings!

Right now they give you a 15% discount on Amazon, using discount code: 9WOKAAZJ (valid for all products in the TerraMaster store, and can be combined with coupons on selected models). The code is valid until the end of this month.

Here's a link to the F2-425 I reviewed recently: amzn.to/4s25kmJ

And one to the TerraMaster store on Amazon: amzn.to/4sVnJCg

Adding a full-size PCIe card to the low-profile bracket of the ZimaBoard 2? Sure!

I might have said yes a few times too much lately... this month will be filled with reviews, and only one of them is not a NAS 😅

Planning to review the TerraMaster F2-425 first, somewhere next week!

I just updated my PicoKVM to the latest firmware, dated November 20th.

There's now a lock-mode on the onscreen keyboard (enabled by default) that holds the shift, ctrl, alt and meta keys when you click them! So we can do key combos without having to create a macro! Nice!

There's also more remote access options available.

The timezone is still backwards (I have to set it to UTC-1 to get UTC+1 time) and my Dell Wyse unit still won't show a bootmenu or BIOS screen when the Pico is connected.

I hope that gets fixed as well! It does show they're still working on it. :)

About a year ago I created a video with some open-source games for kids. One of the apps I installed was the educational software GCompris (great name huh! ;-))

Today I learned that this app is also available on Android and Windows! Might be interesting for anyone seeking free educational apps! :)

The Official website:
apps.kde.org/gcompris/

The app on Google play:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.gcompris…

And the Windows variant on the Microsoft store:

If you'd like to learn about networking, check out @Forget-I.T

Very easy to understand explanation of - let's face it - very dry and otherwise hard to swallow stuff! Most teachers at expensive IT training centers won't be able to explain things this well!
