Music Is Life
These are all actual videos I have recorded. There is no AI, special effects, or gimmicks added as opposed to the majority of online video. If it didn't actually happen, you won't see it. All the music comes from my personal 78 RPM collection and is played on a Dual 1019 turntable through an RCA amplifier with a flat response. Because of their age and play, I plan to clean up some of the worst recordings eventually but will clearly identify those individually. I try to post only those items that are not already posted (i.e. no reposts). All my records are for sale so if interested please contact me through Youtube.
Music Is Life
A little about myself...
I have over 4,000 records dating from 1903 to 1959 and have been collecting 78 RPM records "in the wild" for over 40 years. I like looking for records wherever they can be found and enjoy meeting the people selling them. There are a number of collectors that have amazing collections in near flawless condition but most of mine were gathered from thrift stores, antique shops, and garage sales so they are what they are. I clean those using soap and software as much as I can and will be adding more info about the artists and history after I get my entire collection online.
I love music in all it's types, styles, and nationalities. The only place you can find and hear these records and tunes anymore is on YouTube so I really appreciate this venue!
I enjoy getting comments from people who hear and appreciate a song they remember from their past, and also from those abroad who can help me better appreciate music and performers from their native countries. It helps me understand where most of us in the USA came from.
