For those who may not know, Candid is not my name. It is the mission of this channel. I started this channel thinking that I was going to base it around mindset, but I quickly found that I needed to say the things and tackle the topics that most people avoided.

I don't do this to be mean or inflammatory. I don't do it for likes or clicks. I am sure my channel grows more slowly because of it. I do this because I've learned that facing hard truths can lead to admission, accountability, healing, and growth. We cannot fully and completely change as a society without understanding the root causes that brought us to this point.

This means... the conversations we have here won't be easy. This means... being comfortable with being uncomfortable. This means taking personal accountability even if you claim to be on the right side of history.

On this channel, we must walk through the pain of truth to get to the path of healing and change. I appreciate you for taking this journey with me. 💙🫶🏾💙

This Monday in Jackson, Mississippi, a Black woman, Tasia Fortune, 29, was found deceased, hanging from a tree. She was found in the backyard of a vacant home in the 500 block of Road of Remembrance.

Jackson City Council member, Kenneth Stokes, has sent a letter to the US Attorney's Office asking for help.

History Lesson:
More Black people have been lynched in Mississippi than in any other state.

Black people DO NOT hang themselves from trees.

More and more black people are being found in trees as more and more racists become more emboldened of late.

Strange fruit is making a horrific return and we WILL NOT entertain the narrative that these black people are doing it to themselves. 😤😤😤
