After arriving in Portugal, our client Kathryn quickly discovered that some of the most valuable parts of moving abroad aren't things you can plan for, they're the people you meet along the way. What started as an airport transfer turned into a lasting friendship with her driver, Paulo, who helped her avoid an unsuitable rental, find temporary accommodation, and even connect with local contacts during her housing search. It's a wonderful reminder that building relationships with locals can make a new country feel like home much sooner than you expect. 😊

A few highlights from my time in Edinburgh! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 One of my favorite discoveries was walking along the Water of Leith, a peaceful riverside trail winding through the city that I ended up returning to several times. I also loved exploring Leith, where I stayed for a few weeks and got a taste of its cozy neighborhood atmosphere, local restaurants, and waterfront. And of course, I couldn't leave Edinburgh without hiking Arthur's Seat, an ancient extinct volcano with incredible views over the city and coastline.
