As we start out this New Year, I want to thank you for being here for the journey. 2025 was among the busiest years in my relocation company’s history. Change, uncertainty, a rising cost of living, and the desire for a better life drove thousands of people to contact me about options to move abroad.
We helped plan the international relocations of 78 clients, couples, and families, with people reaching out every day for support the year ahead. My second book, Moving Abroad For Dummies, came out at the perfect time to help guide people through the steps of an international move. 🙂
The team at Traveling with Kristin grew as well, with members in all corners of the globe - from the U.S. to Canada, UK, Serbia, and our partners throughout Europe, Latin America, and SE Asia. I’m so grateful for them!
It was a “slow” year for travel for me, clocking in at around 90,000 miles or 3.5 laps around the planet. I was fortunate to travel to the Netherlands, Estonia, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Costa Rica, and across the U.S. a few times. I remain in Miami with plans to move to Europe in the spring/summer (more details on that soon!).
Highlights include visiting my relocation clients in Spain, speaking at Wise Mission Days in Estonia, experiencing the societal experiment that is Burning Man, and spending time with family in Florida, California, and Vegas. However, there were also deeply low points during the year, including a dear friend passing away suddenly. (RIP Shanti) 🤍🕊️
On a personal note, I’m grateful for good health and happiness among my friends, family, and loved ones. I continue into my third year in a plant-based lifestyle and am feeling better than ever.
2025 was also the year I officially became an electronic music producer after 3 years of study and practice. You can find my music by searching KIQI on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, SoundCloud, and Beatport.
Stay tuned to YouTube tomorrow, for a full update and plans for 2026. Cheers to the year ahead! 🥂🎊✈️ For help moving abroad, apply at www.travelingwithkristin.com/relocation 🌎

Good morning, everyone. I hope that you had a wonderful holiday season and start to the year. Below is an update from my sister, Shannon. We greatly appreciate your support over the past year. If you're new to my channel, you can find more context regarding the below message in this video: https://youtu.be/Zj3wFMzTkj4 ❤️
Warmest regards,
Kristin

I have been wanting to give you an update and to again express my gratitude for a very long time, but no words ever seem adequate. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support - from people I know and from many I have never met - especially knowing that everyone has their own lives, responsibilities, challenges, and adversities. Yet you still chose to donate your hard-earned money to my son and me. You also went even further, spending your valuable time (the scarcest resource) not only to listen to my story but also to share personalized advice and stories to guide me. I received your messages on this page, YouTube, and in private messages forwarded by family members. They helped immensely.
PTSD remains an ongoing part of my life, and recovery has been a nonlinear process. However, through continued treatment, self-discovery, and persistence, I am building resilience and learning what supports my long-term healing. This experience has forced me to confront myself in ways I never expected. It has been profoundly challenging, but it has also been a catalyst for personal development as I am committed to learning, healing, and growth.
Looking ahead, I hope to eventually share more about my experience in a way that may help others and their loved ones navigate trauma and its ripple effect. For now, my focus remains on healing, being present for my son, and thoughtful career planning.
Wishing you all the best in 2026,
Shannon

🌍 Some people leave to get away from burnout, politics, or pressure. Others go in search of peace, purpose, or a fresh start. Many feel a mix of both and that’s completely valid. But getting clear on your why can make all the difference when the excitement fades or the challenges show up.
💬 What’s your reason for considering a move abroad?
Is it an escape, a life upgrade, or something else entirely?
👇 Share your perspective in the comments, your clarity might inspire someone else.
