"I cannot express how important it is to believe that taking one tiny, and possibly very uncomfortable, step at a time can ultimately add up to a great distance." β Tig Notaro π Moving abroad rarely happens all at once. It starts with small decisions, researching destinations, learning something new, saving for the future, or taking the first trip to see if a place feels like home. Those early steps may not seem significant at the time, but they often become the foundation for an incredible new chapter.

What if retiring in Europe required less monthly income than you expected? Portugal's D7 Visa continues to attract retirees because of its relatively accessible passive income requirement. As of 2026, a single applicant needs to show at least β¬920 per month in qualifying passive income, along with meeting other financial and residency requirements. It's a reminder that some European residency options may be more attainable than many people assume. π΅πΉ

My first month living in Europe did NOT go the way I planned. Between a delayed shipping container, a complicated housing search in Bucharest, and the reality of adjusting to a new country while still working full-time, there were plenty of moments that tested me. Watch here: https://youtu.be/sUJM81d4xos π
In this video, Iβm sharing the honest version of that first month β why I used Scotland as a soft landing, what surprised me about Romania, what the Bucharest rental market actually looks like, and why I ultimately started looking beyond the city. I also get into the loneliness, jet lag, paperwork, and unexpected moments that rarely make it into the highlight reel.

"There is no passion to be found playing small, in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." β Nelson Mandela π For many people, the dream of living abroad begins with one simple question: What if there's a different life waiting for me? Whether that means moving to another country, experiencing a new culture, or stepping outside your comfort zone, some of life's greatest opportunities begin when we're willing to imagine something bigger for ourselves.

A sunny afternoon at the beach might not sound like a milestone, but for our clients Kathryn and Kevin, it represented months of planning, paperwork, and perseverance.
