My name is Christine & I am the Owner of OxygenFarm Quilts. I am a Grandma, Mama, Wifey and Quilter. I have been sewing & crafting since I was about 7 years old. I love the process of creating for others and trying new things.
My Mom always had a sewing machine set up in our home & she taught me the basics of sewing. In junior high I took "Home Economics" where I was introduced to different areas of textile arts. I still have & USE the kit I needed for that class. You'll see these items in my videos like my yellow headed pins & holder, seam ripper & wrist pin holder.
My Grandma on my Dad's side showed me the basics of quilting in my early 20's. She learned the basics of Quilting from my Great Grandma on my Mom's side. I'm proud to carry on our Quilting tradition & share with all of you.

I have always made my own labels on the computer and printed them on wax paper lined fabric with my home printer. But, every time I got low on labels, I dreaded going through the process of having to make more. Plus, I could not print in color so I love that these new cotton labels have my green logo. everemblem made sure my proofs were how I wanted and I appreciate their attention to detail. Happy National Quilting Day! Share a picture of your first quilt!
This photo is my first Quilt made in the early 1990’s. It’s a version of a three strip rail fence made with some of the fabric from my Grandma Tegeder. I hand quilted hearts on the pink corner squares, but the rest was stitch in the ditch. And oh goodness! I had a little sewing machine and no walking foot. I really struggled with it, but was so proud to have finished. I still have this Quilt! She’s more of a nostalgic display than a hug giver, but I love looking at that very first creation that started an obsession. 🩷

This quilt here is still one of my all time favorite quilts I have ever made! I don’t know what it is about this quilt but it just screams happiness to my heart. I made this Quilt years ago for my daughter Emily. What I love is that she USES this Quilt!! It gets snuggled with, makes forts, lays on the ground for babies, gets dirty and washes up beautifully.
This Grandma, just like my Grandma Tegeder and Great Grandma Rader before me, love Love LOVE the LOVE this quilt gives and receives.
How do you feel when someone uses a quilt you made?
