Over the next several months, you'll be joining me as I count down to leaving my home in the U.S. and beginning a new chapter abroad. But this isn't really a travel channel. It's a place to document what happens when you choose curiosity over certainty, embrace a little more mystery, and start building a life that actually feels more like your own.
Some days that might look like preparing for the move. Other days it might look like reflecting on American work culture, learning a new skill, sharing a meal, reflecting on an ordinary moment, or following an unexpected fascination.
For a long time, I thought I needed a perfectly thought-out plan before I could begin-- this channel is my attempt to do the opposite.

Awful migraines, the flu, aches and pains with my teams still needing and requesting the things they’ve been patient for while I was away from Pennsylvania

I realize that all my time spent working in the MidAtlantic was to save money for adventures.
These are from my most recent adventure to Savannah, GA in 2023, drove from Philly and camped in my truck bed near the most beautiful rivers, moss covered trees, and southern forests.
I remember screaming crying when I officially hit the road
So full of fear and excitement for my first solo road trip
And now we’re taking it overseas yall 😅
What is going to happen?

Remember those baby blue collards from my recent video? Look at them now!
They’ve been “potted up” from a 128-cell tray to a 40-cell. They’re seeded in 128s until a set of their true leaves come, and then given a bigger spot to spread their roots.
Do you see the messages in that?!
The indicator of elevation isn’t their cotyledons (their rounded starter leaves whose job it is to photosynthesize, giving energy to the first set of true leaves)
It’s the emergence of the true leaves, the true identity of the plant lets you know that the seedling is now root bound and needs more space to become itself more fully.
Lawd help me for seeing something in everything 😅

Whenever I need to create a tagline for myself, I choose "Into the Forest Floor"
It's so protected, spongey, insulated, and shields the micro-environments where the essence of the forest's life exists.
I’m a forest floor by nature. I like the small, hidden, ordinary things that somehow contain an entire world.
And this channel is where I make a little space to share them.

It's been 16 days since I started this channel, and somehow there are already 41 of you here!
I just wanted to say thank you.
Starting this channel has been equal parts exciting and terrifying, and I'm still figuring out what this space is becoming. The fact that you've chosen to come along this early genuinely means a lot to me.
I hope that as this channel grows, it always feels like we're just having honest conversations about building a life that feels more like our own.
