Important Announcement About Our December Schedule!

Hey Everyone, just wanted to give you a heads up that our schedule is going to look a little bit different this month. While we’ll still be doing new releases for our longer Friday videos, we’re going to be taking a bit of a break from Crimes of the Week and Crimes of the Week International.

Don’t worry, we’ll still have PLENTY for you to watch over the holidays! We’ve got a bunch of fun & interesting compilations that we think you’ll enjoy and we’re still planning to release 3 videos a week. Many of you might remember that we did something very similar to this last year, and it was a huge help. Not only did it allow Luke and I to have a bit more time with our families over the holiday season, it let us make sure that we started off the year as strong as possible.

The compilations will be starting next week (Dec 9) and will run until after New Years. Just to reiterate, that’s ONLY for the COTW and COTWIN videos — ALL of the Friday videos will still be brand-new!

Even though you’ll be hearing plenty more from us this month, we also wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best this holiday season. This was a huge year for Crime Zone with some amazing milestones (500k subs!) but none of it would have been possible without YOU.

As always, we want you to know that we are truly grateful that you’ve chosen to spend your valuable time with us this year. Not only that, but we appreciate every like, comment, hype, donation, membership, and every other one of the countless ways you’ve shown your love and support for the channel in 2025.

Luke and I continue to be blown away by the generosity and enthusiasm of this community, and we’re so honoured to be a part of it.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and here’s to an even better 2026!

Crime Zone

Hey Everyone! As some of you have already noticed, we have officially passed 500,000 subscribers on YouTube. While this isn’t a number that’s recognized in any official way on the platform, it’s a milestone that means a lot to us personally.

When Luke and I started Crime Zone more than 5 years ago, we never imagined that the channel would make it this far. We HOPED the videos we made would resonate with people, and we’ve always tried to put out the best stuff we were capable of. But never in our wildest dreams did we ever think we’d reach a goal like this.

The last few years have been more amazing than we EVER could have imagined. Getting here has been a lot of work, and there have been plenty of setbacks along the way, but by far the most rewarding part has been sharing each part of this journey with our incredible Crime Zone community. We are so grateful to be able to do this, and we know that we never would have made it here without each and every one of you.

We hope that there are many more milestones to celebrate, and that we can continue to do this for many more years to come. But no matter what happens, we want you to know that we appreciate every bit of support and encouragement you’ve given us along the way.

THANK YOU!

Crime Zone

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give you a little heads up that Crimes of the Week and Crimes of the Week International are getting a little facelift! It's been a QUITE a while since we've done any kind of changes to either show, but we figured now was a perfect time because of the recent logo update.

Our video editor David has been hard at work on this for weeks, and we're really happy with how it turned out! What do you all think? Do like the new look?

Crime Zone

Yet again, our latest upload has been demonetized by YouTube. We're going to keep the video up for now because it doesn't feel fair to punish all of you, but it's starting to feel like the channel is being targeted. No matter how much we try to be careful to operate within the guidelines, it doesn't seem to matter. On top of that, the reason is always the same -- "Controversial Issues". This incredibly vague and open-ended feedback is the only explanation we get, and frustratingly there is 0 additional recourse for creators.

We aren't really sure what to do at this point, but even if it doesn't change anything, we feel it's important to let you know what's going on behind the scenes. The most annoying part is that the constant headaches and stuff like this eat up valuable time that we'd much rather be spending focusing on making videos.

Apologies for the rant, and as always, we appreciate every single one of you for tuning in. As difficult as things have been lately, seeing your words of encouragement and messages of support have really kept us going as we keep trying and hoping that we'll eventually get this figured out.

ANNOUNCEMENT -- Hey Everyone, just wanted to share a couple of updates with you. Starting this week, we are going to be changing around our posting schedule a bit. Crimes of the Week will remain on Tuesdays, but our longer on-camera videos will be moving to Fridays, and Crimes of the Week International will be moving to Sundays. All videos will still be released at 6 pm EST though.

We're moving the posting schedule around to make things a little easier for us as well as our video editors, and to ensure that we can continue to deliver uploads consistently. We just wanted to make sure we kept you all looped in as well about what was going on so there was no confusion.

Speaking of our editing team, we're excited to show off our new logo, courtesy of our main video editor David! It's been awhile since we've done any kind of visual update like this, and honestly, it's been long overdue. We're really happy with how it turned out, and we think David did a great job! But we also want to hear from YOU. What do you think?

Crime Zone

Hey Everyone -- good news! After a frustrating night, we've managed to get yesterday's Crimes of the Week ready for release. Things are looking better with our editing software in general so (fingers crossed) hopefully we've got that sorted out. Just wanted to let you all know that we're going to set the video live today at the usual release time, so 6 pm EST. We hope you tune in, because last week was a crazy one in the world of US Crime News.

We also wanted to thank everyone again for your patience -- we're so incredibly thankful to have such an amazing and supportive community! Seriously, you all are the best. See you at 6pm EST!

Crime Zone

Hey Everyone -- sorry to do this so last minute, but it's looking like tonight's Crimes Of The Week video is going to be delayed. We've been having issues with our editing software. A new update broke compatibility with a bunch of our usual titles and templates. We've been messing around with stuff all day hoping we could get everything figured out in time, but it just ended up taking wayyyy longer than expected.

Apologies for the inconvenience -- it really feels like we've just been getting hammered from every direction lately. As always, we'll let you know as soon as we get everything sorted out and the video is up. Appreciate you sticking with us!

Crime Zone

Hey Everyone! Good news -- after a long night, it looks like we're finally going to be able to release this week's long-form video. We're going to set it live tonight at the usual time as our Thursday releases, so 6pm EST. Thanks so much to everyone for your patience and for all of the incredible words of support you sent our away. We're really looking forward to sharing this one with you all -- especially because it's one that's close to our neck of the woods.

Be sure to tune in tonight to check out our latest story, which we've simply titled: The Sleepover From Hell.

Crime Zone

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to give you a heads up that, unfortunately, it's looking like tonight's release might be delayed. We got hit with an "extended review" when we uploaded our latest video. It's saying in studio that it could be up to 24 hours before we know anything, but judging by our history with YouTube chances are they just have issues with the content in general. So we may need to do some re-working and revisions before we'll actually be able to share it with you.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, and it's definitely frustrating because this was one of the longest deep-dives we've done in a while. But we'll be sure to keep you posted about what's going on. In the meantime, the video IS available for supporters over on Patreon.

Once again, apologies, and thanks for bearing with us while we (hopefully) get this sorted out.

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to let you know in case you haven't already seen, this week's COTW episode is finally up. Apologies again for how long it took. We were really left scratching our heads over the technical issues we were dealing with but we think (fingers crossed) that we've gotten to the bottom of it. Thanks so much for your patience!
