Uploads every week (hopefully). Content will range from philosophy to politics to DIY stuff, so just expect problem solving to be the only consistent theme for the channel. I'm also unapologetically center-right. If that bothers you, welcome to how the rest of us feel, constantly having politics shoved down our throats.

Following up on the previous post, what works best for live-streams?

Long-form content may be scarce for the next two months. I’ve already been struggling to get videos out (hence recent Saturday uploads), and just in this coming week alone, I have to: help my Grandma move, visit my nephew and brother, house-sit for my mom, and that’s all in addition to my day job and house hunting, after which I will be moving…

To cut a long story short, if there’s fewer vids, that’s why. Also, once I move to my new house (if that pans out) I’ll probably get into live-streaming. If I do, what day do we want live-streams?

The funny thing is that, immediately after this, one of the few “critics” who I tried to have a conversation with rather than block threw a hissy fit because I brought up irrefutable statistics and he ended his comment with something around the lines of “I’m blocking you. See, I got the last word,” and the “See, I got the last word” was an exact quote.

Sometimes I wish Youtube didn’t remove comments from people I block for the sake of transparency… Sometimes I look back on that other comment and this one and realize that most people just talk to feel validated and, as “fascist” as it may sound, giving them a platform only enables that mindset.

I don’t like to make “personal content” (for lack of a better word), but I still want to give you guys (my subscribers) a fair warning.

preface: I got my associate’s degree the day I graduated HIGHSCHOOL. During this time, I took 11 (I think) hours of classes a day. This was easy for me. I never studied. I played Diddy Kong racing during lectures rather than taking notes. There was once a class (chemistry) that had to restructure its grading system just because I would score too high.

I’m not telling you this to stroke my own ego: it’s just some perspective (my perspective) because I understand college & academic prowess don’t always translate to intelligence, but I also know who I am & I know my capabilities.

After college, I went on tiktok, I was humble, and I was ready to have my beliefs challenged & learn something new. That did not happen. instead, I learned that most people don’t take calc 3 for an associate’s & I was incredibly lucky to have gone to a school that over-educated me.

So, 7 years of debate online has gotten me to a point where I am of a mindset that many of you don’t appreciate but it just is what it is:

I do not listen to criticism. I do not care if other people think I’m wrong. I read critiques just long enough to see if they have any merit to them, and, when they do not, I block those people.

if you enjoy my content, good. if you don’t, okay. If you like some vids but not others, weird, but you do you, I guess.

But, at the end of the day, keep that to yourself. criticism will get you blocked.

Set aside “how smart I think I am,” do I go to other content creators & leave comments trying to change their minds? No, why would I? My comment would just be one out of a hundred or a thousand.

It’s not productive. It’s just annoying. I have 100k followers on tiktok. I can’t have a meaningful conversation with every would-be critic.

And, funny enough, I always get people telling me, “well, just ignore them, don’t block them!” but then my feed & comments become an echo-chamber for those people rather than what it should be: a place for people to ask questions & share ideas related to the video.

I want to facilitate that & not be so bogged down that I can’t respond to anyone.

And, ultimately, when people reluctantly claim that I, as a man with a life of his own & limited time, am not obligated to respond to everyone, but then come to the conclusion that I should just ignore my critics rather than blocking them— I feel this ultimately demonstrates why I am being completely reasonable in blocking people:

If you think I should ignore people, then I expect the same decency from you & from my critics. If they’re not going to respect my time enough to put effort into understanding my message before criticizing it or refuse to put effort into their criticism, then they have failed in their obligation as critics.

They are just using my comment section as a place to cope or feel validated, and, so, I do not grant them this… the same way that if you think I’m stroking my ego in this post— or I am seeking validation in any other video— you would prefer that I not say what I do or have the opinion that I do & (more importantly) that I should not bother others with it.

If you do not like that I am right-wing, that I am against dogmatic-empiricism & dogmatic-secularism & scientism, that I am against postmodernism & deconstructionism, that I am against Marxism & its derivations, and that I am against subjectivism, then you don’t have to watch my videos.

Nobody is forcing you to watch me & nobody is forcing you to criticize me because I said something “mean” (or whatever other juvenile complaint you may have).

Now that I have given you all this warning, the only one compelled to act is me because, in these circumstances, its clear you lack the self-control to leave, so I will help you with the click of a button 👍

I welcome people speaking their minds in my comments, but you’re not going to change MY mind, so don’t try. If you want a safespace, go to the millions of other places on the internet where you can be a crazy lefty lunatic.
