This one hits hard. The Princess Bride and Stand by Me were essential movies for me growing up. I remember watching both with my dad and repeating dialogue with him and my brother for years afterwards.

I guess those 4 second clips on my E.T. video just had too much music. There are even segments highlighted that have no music in them at all, just me speaking.

Not exactly how I hoped my first video since going full-time would go, but hoping this gets resolved soon.

Today is the 50th anniversary of Jaws, which I covered in yesterday's video and you should totally watch it 😉.

This movie is so special to me. I remember watching it for the first time at 8 years old on a car TV on our way to Wyoming for a wedding. Despite our young age, my father always showed my brother and I movies that he loved ( Jaws, Alien, Airplane... ). But Jaws was different for me. It was a film I instantly grabbed on to and watched repeatedly.

It's one of the 5 or so movies that turned me into a movie buff, got me hooked on filmmaking and inspired me to start this channel. Maybe one day I will cover those other films, but today is a day to get a bigger boat.

Fun fact about me:

I was born on Star Wars day (wasn't called that at the time) and yes, my name is Luke. It's always made this day feel extra special to me and I have celebrated the last 5 years by getting a Star Wars Lego set and building it while watching something Star Wars related. Today, that's R2D2 and Andor Season 2. Love both so far!

How do YOU celebrate?

Hey Everyone,

Apologies for the lack of updates. Between the frantic ( but albeit successful job search ) and driving to weddings 2 weekends in a row, I just haven't had time to work on the next video.

But it's in the works, and I will get it posted and then back on track as soon as possible. ❤️

Also, sad to hear about Val Kilmer. RIP

Update / Poll

I once again find myself in a position where I will be out of a job (such is the nature of being a contractor in a competitive field). Because of this, I will essentially be a "full-time" creator for the next few months.

Now for the poll. I have recently been getting contacted by some companies for sponsorship integration. I normally ignore them, but with the prospect of unemployment on the horizon, I am reevaluating that decision. So I would like your input

First time editing at 35,000 feet! It actually went pretty smoothly.

Also flight film reviews.

My Neighbor Totoro: A perfect example of a movie without a real plot, but Ghibli still creates magic with it.

Rome ( first 2 episodes ): I dig this show. Getting early GOT vibes and I really like that

Demon Slayer (season 1): finally finished season 1 and it has consistently been a ton of fun for me
