If you know about BFDI II or basically the whole OSC, you know the the people in the fandom, like 99% of them are neurodivergent and it's funny that a show with objects with limbs and feelings attract a person or group of people with a mental condition, but the reason why makes perfect sense.

1. Hyperfixations. It's normal for everyone to have interest like favorite sport, game or more of the above, but neurodivergents has a more narrow interest like pretty specific, and honestly, I fall in that same category. So how does that connect to object shows? Basically because it's a fandom. :)

2. Interactivity. Similar to the hyperfixations, you might remember as a young kid playing with random objects around your house, apartment, or any living space, even your imagination. The idea of a character that resembles an object does really feel like someone has a similar idea to yours, but it does mainly gets on neurodivergent people.

3. Relatively. Some characters in some shows have a certain personality or condition that makes the viewer feel related to them. whether positive such as Two being silly, or negative like some trauma or negative experience like being outcasted like mainly in season 2 where the second places become outcast which while doesn't happens for all shows, commonly happens like bfdi or II.

4. Storytelling and external factors. The creator, mainly Michael and Cary, are aware of the fanmade shows that their fans made, and it's honestly wholesome for 90% of the time since it proves how much the fans like the shows, and not only that but the voting while controversial in some cases basically makes the whole thing more vivid unlike in TDI where the writers choose who shall be the winner.
And because of it being an online community, basically shares interest to other fans neurodivergents or not, which sometimes feels better than talking face to face which you can make goofs.. :(
The last thing is plushies which while a filler part, actually makes the person sorta feel like the plushie is a friend IRL.

5. Side note (LQBTQ references.)
Obviously not all neurodivergents are queer, but some are which probably had a connection with queerness and neurological mind. and the fact that the osc has not only representations for gay characters like OJ and paper, but also NB characters like winner and paintbrush, and the way they're presented feels satisfying. Personally before I knew what LGBTq was, I always thought of myself as 'nongendered' and it was a concept that didn't stick much, but similar to the relatively, you can see it for yourself. Surprisingly, it doesn't get as much hate compared to furries which is good since it doesn't deserve hate since it's like putting gasoline to fire.

Not to mention some people are as old as BFDIA was released or older, but that's just a TLDR. Or TOILET DOCTOR from TAWOG. (took me a while to realize that meant too long didn't read.)

But in summary I dunno how there's so much neurodivergents in this community, it just happened. :)
