Hey guys, hope you are all doing well! I wanted to let you all know that I’m launching a new series on the channel, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Booktube edition.
Im very excited to get this series going, I’ve been a quiz show fanatic forever and this is something I’ve wanted to start for a very long time.

1. I’m going to do a video on empire of the vampire by Jay Kristoff, and why I think it’s one of my biggest surprises in terms of reading in the last couple of years.
2. I’m creating my own discord server called Beyond the Wall, I will still be a part of the grimoire but I wanted to create something new and fresh for me and a bit smaller than the grimoire. I will set it up this week and post it in another post, absolutely no pressure to join but if you interested in joining, please let me know.

It’s been a while since I last talked to you guys, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas Day (for those who celebrate it)
I’M BACK! I wanted to let you guys know that I’m going to be coming back to booktube, I thought about doing a video announcement but I decided it would be better to do it this way. I was in a very dark place in September and I’ll be honest was not a fun person to be around at all and I didn’t want to appear on camera when I was in that state. I recorded a review for Legend at that time and it was so bad I erased it from existence.
But I’m in a much better place now and I can’t wait to making videos again. I’ve been thinking about it and I’ve come to realise that my videos are never going to have the greatest video or audio quality, I’ll never have fancy editing or offer any deep analysis of books or their themes. All I want to do is give my thoughts on what I’m reading, pure and simple.
There’s been a lot of change for me as well in my personal life in the last few months, my job has been made permanent, and I’ve moved house so that original set up is no more, which I’ll miss but I’m glad to be back in my home town!
Back to booktube, my first video back will be my top 10 of 2023, making that list was very difficult and the top 5 is incredibly close, that should be out on New Year’s Day! I’ll be doing a January TBR which will come out at some point next week, my new year’s resolution is to make monthly TBRs and (at least try) stick to them, will I succeed? Probably not but I’ll try lol!

So I wanted to make this post to announce that I am going to be taking a step back from booktube indefinitely.
First off, I wanted to say thank you to anyone who has ever watched one of my videos, liked, commented or subscribed over the last 2 years, it means the world to me that you took time out of your day to watch them, I cannot say how much I appreciate that. I never talked about it on the channel, but recording videos and talking in front of the camera is majorly out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I did it. I don't know if I got better or actually got worse over time lol.
I would also like to thank all of the booktubers who I have had the pleasure of collaborating with, both on my channel and theirs. Those videos and livestreams were by far the most fun to do. Especially the Grimoire TBR swap stream, that was worth doing at 2am straight after a 12 hour shift lol.
I may come back some day, I don't know if or when that'll be, but I will always leave the door open. I will still be active on the Grimoire (hopefully more than recent months) and on Instagram (@rjgibson2806) I'll be giving updates on what I'm reading, if you are interested.

I’ve decided to start a new series of videos on the channel where you can follow my journey through each series I decide to read, they will start with a introduction video on why I’ve decided to read the series, what I know about it and how I think I’m gonna feel about it.
Followed a review of each book, then a video when I’ve finished, going over my thoughts on the series and whether or not you should read it.
Don’t worry these won’t be the only videos on the channel, I’ll still be doing other things but I’m excited in testing this series out, the introduction video for Drenai will be out tomorrow!
Hey guys! Just a quick announcement, I am going to be doing a read along for The Faithful and The Fallen by John Gwynne alongside @RekindledReader and @thebrothersgwynne starting in July! This is my favourite series of all time, it means so much to me and it cemented my love for fantasy!
We will be doing some liveshows for each book, with more info to follow!
As you know, my videos are very sporadic at the best of times, I've tried to stick to a schedule but life keeps getting in the way and I can't seem to get ahead of schedule. So I've accepted that videos will come out when they come out.
Over the past few months, I've been scrapping more and more videos because I've not been happy with them and how I come across in them. I will be honest, I did consider quitting, which I think most booktubers do at least every once in a while, but I still enjoy interacting with all of you in the comments.
So I'm going to be focusing on making content that I really want to make, videos that are a bit different and you might not get on other channels, such as the "dramatic reading" videos, I haven't done one in over a year and I think it's about time I bring them back, I have one in the works on the ending of Golden Son and I'm very excited to release it! I hope to have it out in the next few weeks!
I also want to start doing lore videos on series that have amazing lore but don't get covered, such as Dandelion Dynasty and Second Apocalypse. I hope I can put out these videos on a somewhat regular basis, but it probably won't happen lol!
Some other exciting news, I'm going to be hosting a couple of read alongs over the next few months.
First me and @RekindledReader are going to be doing a readalong of The Faithful And The Fallen by John Gwynne, this is a reread for both myself and Theo and I'm very excited to jump back into the banished lands! There's going to be an official announcement video soon with all the details, so stay tuned!
Second, I'm going to hosting a readalong for the Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell with @TallGuyReads and @patsmythos starting in August, this is a series I've heard a lot about and I think is gonna be a big hit with me!

So I wanted to make this post to announce that I am going to be taking a step back from booktube indefinitely.
First off, I wanted to say thank you to anyone who has ever watched one of my videos, liked, commented or subscribed over the last 2 years, it means the world to me that you took time out of your day to watch them, I cannot say how much I appreciate that.
