Hey guys! My name is Dylan Renner and I have been playing violin for almost 20 years.

I gear my videos towards beginners, and really enjoy covering popular songs. I believe if you can learn to play a song you already love, then your love for the instrument will grow as well!
I post videos when I feel like it. Over the course of the last 8 years they have been very infrequent, but as of 2019 I am posting more often than ever.
I hope you find my videos educational, and most importantly: MOTIVATIONAL
It is never to late to pick up an Violin and begin to teach yourself through the internet, anybody can start at any age...just give it a shot!

I’m considering going live here on YouTube next week!
I’ve been thinking about trying some live shows where the community decides on a violin-themed topic each week, and I teach it in during the live session. I’d be able to answer questions live and help you all a bit more personally.

Over the past few months I have been trying to balance my videos between covers and technique lessons.
Which types of videos would YOU all rather see in the future?
- Covers would include popular hits, movie and TV show themes, holiday and traditional songs.
- Technique videos would be more traditionally based such as bow control, posture, scale and etude repertoire, and starting some more intermediate level things like 2nd and 3rd position.
