not the kind you'd find in soft spaces
the kind you'd find in ash
ashes of time once remembered
like a walker of spaces
between violet roses of another world
she walked with fire
the flames of a time in-between
her nature was raw
she walked with truth
undone into harmony
beautiful under the moon
a dreamer between worlds
caught in the flow of her grace
maybe this embrace was
never meant to be any place
her shape morphs like a flame dancing
the dreamer sees the permeability
the ephemeral source
whether green or brown
or tones of melancholy
her spirit was his grace
and her true face
she walked between worlds
and he could hold the air of
eternity in a bottle
for that was enough
for him to feel her shape
locked in time
a place where he could
feel her grace

The Edge of Expansion is about what it feels like when life starts pushing you beyond the version of yourself you’ve become used to.
I wrote it around that mixture of excitement and fear that comes with growth. You can feel that something is changing, but you don’t necessarily know where it’s leading or who you’ll be on the other side of it.
There’s sadness in the piece too, because growing often means leaving old parts of yourself, familiar patterns and certain chapters of your life behind. But underneath it all, it’s about trusting the process, staying open and continuing forward even when you don’t feel completely ready.
