I wanted to reach out to those who join us on YouTube , in case some of you have not heard what we concluded through seeking the Lord concerning the future of Gateway. We sought the Lord for 40 days through June and into July and felt that our 14 year season as a church was complete.
So many felt Gateway should continue on but there was no peace concerning the pathway forward.
I finally heard Genesis 22, God tested Abraham - you're in a test for the future! The LORD spoke to me, “You want to see what’s next (the ram in the thicket) without putting Isaac COMPLETELY on the altar. I will not lift your eyes to see what’s next UNTIL you lay everything I gave you on the altar.”
I know this is not easy for many (it’s not for us) but I know the LORD will provide for those that have faithfully served His Purposes concerning Gateway Hope Center. If we strive to keep Gateway open it might initially feel good but would eventually put people's destiny in jeopardy - it would be a good thing but NOT a God Thing!
We will continue with our normal scheduled services until September 10th which will be our last service. We will have a special closing weekend September 8 - 10, 2023. That weekend we will celebrate the goodness of Father God and invite some of our regional friends to come and participate. The theme of our final weekend will be "Crossing the Threshold and Passing Through the Open Door".
Our schedule that weekend will be:
FRIDAY, September 8th @ 7 PM — Our last Friday Night Burn
SATURDAY, September 9th @ 6 PM — Regional Gathering
SUNDAY, September 10th @ 10 AM — It will be a time of worship, food, fellowship & testimony.
Yet it will also be a launching pad moment of commissioning all of us into a new season.
As we close out this season at Gateway Hope Center, please keep us in prayer and remember us in your giving as we want to make sure we fulfill all our financial commitments especially concerning our lease for the facility.
