Splatoon Tip when entering a 1v1 fight think of possible outcomes, range differences between you and the opponent, remember your kill time and theirs and if they might have backup, and if you have at least 3 quarters of your ink tank full and feel confident of winning that 1v1 then it’s most likely in your favor I tend to think about those fundamentals when playing against a player better than or equal to my skill level. Recommend not engaging in a 1v4 unless half or their entire team is chipped. Hope this tip helps improve your performance
