2024 was arguably the most difficult year of my life due to an ongoing, chronic and debilitating lower back injury that there has been no resolution for thus far. 2025 is starting off offering a treatment plan that seems much more hopeful, but all that being said, it makes life very challenging with a wife and 2 young kids. The bright spot is the time I've had to grown in my faith and study God's Word in depth. Photography, however, is therefore very limited. Still, these are my favorite shots from 2024. All taken with the X100T with the exception of the photo of my late Grandfather's Bible (who was a pastor). That was taken with the X-T1 and 60mm macro.
Took the X100T out for a little hike with the family. With a semi-steady hand and a leaf shutter, you can get away with 1/8th handheld witch isn't bad considering no IBIS!
My son has been playing around with his grandmother's old Canon Rebel T3 (circa 2011) and today I shot this little bird using the "kit" 75-300mm lens. This was shot through my dining room window. Not too shabby for a 14 year old Canon Rebel and kit lens.
This was the first year my oldest got to stay up late and watch some 4th of July fireworks. Our neighbor put on a good show and we had front row seats! X-T1 and Rokinon 12mm coming in clutch once again for getting some cool firework shots!
Recently decided to dip my toe back into real estate photography after about a year and a half hiatus. As I only have an X-T1 and X100T, the X-T1 has been pulling real estate duty along with the 16mm 2.8. The X-T1 delivers amazing results (I wouldn't have assumed otherwise). I DO miss the vertical tilting screen on the X-T2 though. Shooting a vertical comp at stomach level is so easy with that feature.
Once again, the X100T comes through as the GOAT travel camera (for me, at least). Two week trip in Puerto Rico is coming to a close. Can't wait to share more photos.
Been loving Classic Neg. in the forest. Taking the clarity and texture sliders down in Lightroom makes for a nice painterly look as well. Taken with the X-T1 and 50mm f/2.
