Watercraft Fatal Accident - On Sunday, July 4 at about 1:30 p.m., Bullhead City emergency crews responded to a watercraft accident on the Colorado River in the 1400 block of Riverfront Drive. It was reported that Timothy Randall David Lee, 33 of Ontario, CA, was sitting on the back of a boat’s swim deck when a jet ski crashed into the boat. The force of the crash knocked Timothy Lee’s baby and mother-in-law into the water, but they were reportedly not injured. Timothy Lee suffered serious injuries. The jet ski reportedly left the scene. Water Rescue Safety lifeguards and boating officers were able to track down the personal watercraft that crashed into the boat. The rental jet ski was being operated by two teenage boys. The 16-year-old operator from Avondale, AZ was cited for failure to use due caution to avoid a collision and rental contract violation. Timothy Lee was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. He was later airlifted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, NV where he was pronounced deceased. The report will be forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office for review of additional charges.

#4ThOfJuly
The Fourth of July celebrates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. The Declaration announced the political separation of the 13 North American colonies from Great Britain. The Congress had voted in favour of independence from Great Britain on July 2 but did not actually complete the process of revising the Declaration of Independence, originally drafted by Thomas Jefferson in consultation with fellow committee members John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and William Livingston, until two days later. \ Whether you plan on celebrating with a backyard BBQ or by watching your city’s fireworks show,
Happy 4th of July

A father plays a very influential role in one’s life. A father is a provider, a teacher, a role model but most importantly, a distant authority figure who can never be convinced easily. In order to honor such an influence and selfless love of a father, we celebrate Father’s Day every year. This year, Father's Day falls on June 20. It is sure that the celebration this year would be minimal, keeping the pandemic in mind. But still, there are enumerable brilliant ideas that can make your father feel special. All he needs is your love and support which you can express through heartfelt messages, quotes, and wishes.

On Wednesday (5/19) at approximately 5:30 PM, Mohave County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Detectives, along with Fort Mojave Tribal Police Department and Department of Public Safety Troopers, responded to the Wal-Mart in Fort Mohave, located at 5210 S. Highway 95, in reference to a shooting. The rider of a motorcycle, later identified as Jim Douglas Mosier, 23 of Bullhead City, was allegedly driving in a reckless manner along Highway 95. The driver of another vehicle, identified as Larry Burton Marcum, 41 of Bullhead City, observed Mosier pull into the front of Wal-Mart and park, at which time Marcum confronted Mosier about his driving behavior. The two engaged in a verbal altercation in front of the business, during which time Mosier pulled out a handgun and held it down to his side. The argument continued, at which time Marcum also pulled out a handgun and held it to his side. After a short time, Marcum placed his handgun back into his pocket. Marcum, who was not armed at that time, went to kick Mosier. Mosier then raised his gun and fired one shot at Marcum, striking him in the upper chest area. Marcum immediately fell to the ground. Mosier then holstered his handgun and called 911 with his cell phone. Bystanders performed first aid on Marcum until medical personnel arrived. Marcum was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Several witnesses were interviewed and video surveillance was reviewed. At the conclusion of this investigation, Jim Douglas Mosier was transported to the Mohave County Detention Facility where he was booked for Second Degree Murder, a Class 1 Felony. This investigation is ongoing.
