New creatures discovered! 1. Xiphodracon, an ichthyosaur from the UK named “Sword Dragon” because of its sword-like jaws. 2. Brontotholus, a pachycephalosaur described from remains in Montana and Alberta. Its name literally means “Thunder Dome.” 3. Utetitan, a new sauropod found in the southwest, and the only North American sauropod from the late Cretaceous, besides Alamosaurus. 4. Ashislesaurus, a medium sized hadrosaur from what is now New Mexico. 5. Vitosaura, a new, small abelisaur from Argentina that lived during the late Cretaceous. Wow, that’s a lot.
