i want to be sure all the social media fanfare doesn’t drown out the importance of my collaborators on all these works.
Dominic Missana sent me this loop and i knew right away it was my “glue” song. i needed to say something and hadn’t been able to find music that fit what i was trying to say and Dom remedied that by consistently sending me weekly ideas until one stuck. thank you for that. Jem did what she does best and elevated it tenfold. Space People gospel-ed the shit out the bridge.
I knew KREEA had the exact voice i needed to add texture to the background vocals. and lastly, Jeremy Pope answered the call and effortlessly put a juicy ass cherry on top. i have footage of Nicholas Ashe hearing Pope’s vocals on it for the first time, and it’s priceless. I’ll find it and share it.
full disclosure, the landscape in which music is promoted and shared these days makes my skin crawl. it’s babylon to me. but i am buried underneath it somewhere, still longing for earnest ears and true appreciation of artistic expression. I’m drowning a bit, can’t lie. but I’m still here. thanks for listening.
