Launch of Startup India Seed Fund Scheme

Launch of ‘Startup India Seed Fund Scheme’ to be graced by the presence of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry, Government of India, on Monday, 19th April 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event will mark the beginning of ‘Call for Applications’ for Incubators for the scheme.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (DPIIT) has created the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) with an outlay of INR 945 Crore. The Hon’ble Prime Minister announced the scheme on 16th January, 2021 in his Grand Plenary address of Prarambh: Startup India International Summit.
Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) aims to provide financial assistance to startups for proof of concept, prototype development, product trials, market entry, and commercialization. This would enable the startups to graduate to a level where they will be able to raise investments from angel investors or venture capitalists or seek loans from commercial banks or financial institutions.
