Yoda or the Emperor?? ✨ //

I had a spiritual awe-ha moment the other day with my partner. He is a comedian in our private life and often does voice impersonations of various characters.

Yoda comes up a lot because we lived in the "Dagobah" swamp of East Texas for many years, so the little green guy has been our honorary spiritual guide and a fixture of our household…

Recently the Emperor’s voice came through, immediately followed by Yoda, and being a musician, he noticed how similar the two voices sounded…

I got chills and an awe-ha.

It must have been purposeful, crafted by George Lucas or someone…

Why?

There’s a fine line between genius and madness… empowering and powerful. They’re entirely different energies, but dark and light live paradoxically close... and help define one another.

So what determines your path towards Jedi goodness or distorted electric power?

Each thought, choice, and action you take…

I heard a psychologist talking on a podcast recently, and he shared how a killer or other unwell characters in society come to be… one small decision and action at a time that builds into a monster.

Dark but illuminating…

The same goes for your orientation to the light, an aim towards goodness and virtue…

It is one step at a time…

What happens when you stumble and build negative momentum?

Well… forgiveness and reorientation is ALWAYS beckoning; it is the eternal nature of positivity…

My car radio broke recently, and it got stuck on a Christian radio station. I noticed that one of the hallmark messages in the songs and stories was redemption… the invitation to return…

To return to love and Truth, and know you are worthy of it!!

I feel this warm embrace from everything that breathes life… the stars, red rocks, a child’s smile, and a sweet winter breeze…

The difference between Jedi Yoda and the Emperor is a choice… a big overarching choice, but also little micro-decisions… and a positive identity that reinforces your conscious orientation.

My partner’s high school principal used to announce on the intercom every morning, “Make it a great day, the choice is yours.”

So I offer this simple message to myself today… and to you!

The spiritual path doesn’t always need to be marked by gigantic shifts or fireworks to show we’re aligned with our soul’s calling…

The path is in the small moments that add up over time… the ability to notice and forgive ourselves when we get off course, and kindly, gently… realign.

Life is lived in the process… in the training… the chop-wood-and-carry-water… and we thank Yoda for reminding us of that!

Be kind to yourself and continue to aim high to the heavens, and stay rooted to the Earth.

Sending you lots of love!
Bridget

Happy last Full Moon of 2025 + Life's Initiations //

These cycles are significant... the Moon, the seasons — moving into winter — and the bigger cycles of life...

I haven’t emailed in over a month because I've been in a significant, challenging, and sacred cyclical initiation.

I’ve been wholeheartedly dedicated to meeting it, and I’m still in process with the soul’s journey, so I’ll share more when the timing feels honoring and aligned.
It feels good to speak generally about some of the insights and gems that are emerging from my experience, so here we go...

An Indigenous people I walk with remember that the four pillars that uphold a living culture are: birth, coming of age, matrimony, and death. Without these sacred passages being met with conscious care, a culture inevitably crumbles...

You may not agree with them, but they're a fascinating contemplation to sit with...

In being immersed in one of these over the past month, I've also experienced that when they are met with courage and faithful surrender to the mystery... these crucible initiations give life meaning.

They forge the paradox between our finite mortal natures and, simultaneously, the truth that we are connected to everything...

The Moon is reflecting that to us today...

I was doing some work at dusk last night at our “new” remodel project in Sedona, and the Moon was SO radiant and alive, there was no denying its presence and my connection to Her.

Human life is a cycle... from fertile blackness, to the first spark of conception, the sunrise of birth, the tender awkwardness of waxing growth, the full bloom of adulthood, and the gentle waning of death that offers its fertile potential — like Fall leaves — to the next emergence of creation.

Each phase is profoundly significant.

Meeting and feeling each cycle... be it Moon phase, season, or stage of life... is what reminds us of our connection to the eternal, ourselves, and to each other...
Meet life courageously.

As I continue my integration, I'm reminded to take in the gifts of the winter season: to feel, listen, and take time to foster the truth of my connection...

To keep it present and follow the stream of deepening a living culture within my life and all my relations.

It feels good to be here with you today.

Thank you for listening. I hope there is something for you in this message, and I look forward to sharing more of the treasures of my experience with you soon.

Sending you lots of love,
Bridget

...

P.S. If this deepening into remembering... and taking time out of the busy patterns of everyday life to reconnect with the sacred within you... calls to you, you're invited to join us for our Sedona Renewal Retreat >> bridgetnielsen.com/sedona-retreat-2026/ February 18–22, 2026.

It's already half full, so reserve your spot and room choice today! 🎉

🕯️ Samhain/Halloween Magic & Honoring Life ✨

As we enter the sacred threshold of Samhain, Halloween, and Día de los Muertos, we step into one of the most powerful portals of the year — when the veil between worlds grows thin and the presence of the unseen becomes near and palpable. ✨

The Celts "...believed (remembered) night preceded day — the long hours of darkness gave birth to dawn each morning, like a baby from the womb." - Manchan Magan RIP 🙏

This was the New Year for them... a time when darkness deepens, and conception takes place.

It may seem strange to us in the West that as leaves fall to the ground and nature dies back and recedes, it is creating the very space... the fertile soil for new beginnings and life.

For over a decade decade, this Samhain window has been my annual time to commune with the ancestors.

Each year brings a unique message, a whisper from the unseen offering nourishment and direction.

This year, instead of teaching, I’m humbly a student again… learning and listening.

Over the past month, I’ve been studying texts on the initiation of death — through the elder wisdom of Stephen Jenkinson and Martín Prechtel’s The Smell of Dust on Rain.

This passage into the liminal can feel abstract until it becomes real and relevant through the transition of close loved ones. I’ll share more about this in the coming months…

Being close to our mortality, to the inevitable reality of death, breathes deep meaning and even renewed passion into life.

Zen knows this… heck, this is the bedrock of most traditions and cultures around the world. But sometimes, especially in New Age spirituality or the vanity of modern culture, we push it away.

It’s important to keep it close... so we can cherish each day and truly tap into the preciousness of this life ~ here and now!

Today, and over the next few days, is a very special time to do this... by feeling gratitude for the life your ancestors gifted YOU.

You know the ones... those who crossed oceans, survived wars and famines, who persevered through hardship, warmed by a hope in their hearts that future generations — you — would have a good life.

Honor them, and your own life, in whatever way feels authentic, vital, and good for you.

And here’s an idea…

Create a simple ancestral altar this Samhain... Tonight, or in the next few days...

Begin simply: light a candle, call them in, and listen. Let ritual be your bridge between worlds... Let gratitude rise.

This act of remembrance opens a channel between worlds, cultivating connection with those who gave you life.

If you’d like to go deeper into ancestral altars and the power of ritual, and how it can help you anchor positive ancestral patterns into your life, check out my Wild & Awake episode all about it!

Another ritual I’ve been learning about, from multiple traditions, is offering a treat (yes, that’s where trick-or-treating originated in Ireland and Celtic festivals)... or a small plate of food for your ancestors, or for the ancestors of the land where you live.

Leave it outside for them... to nourish their spirits.

And remember...

"The falling away is never an ending — it is the quiet preparation for a beginning so holy we cannot fathom it."
— Emory Hall

Sending you lots of love and blessings.

Thank you for being on this journey with me.

Bridget

It's FINALLY Time to Share 👏 A Deep, Creative Part of Myself with You... // And I need your help! 😉

I have something very personally exciting and vulnerable to share today…

I’ve had this letter... to you, and to myself... written inside me for almost a year.

In spirituality, we often talk about mission and soul purpose. For me, sharing, teaching, and facilitating through YouTube, online spaces, and retreats has been a deeply fulfilling aspect of my dharma for well over a decade now.

It may not seem like it, but digital content creation and social media ~ especially in my heyday ~ were creatively all-consuming. Any inspiration from the muse was funneled into the digital, or into my group containers.

As a creative person, the other expressions of me whispered to be made manifest, but my distorted inner masculine shut them down as invalid or not valuable.

A few years ago, my inner creative got feisty and straight-up refused to make content or videos anymore, because the other parts of Her had been so neglected.

So, I reluctantly listened... and slowly but surely remembered what it feels like to create in the physical realm.

I know it sounds strange, but that pathway needs continual strengthening, especially in these times...

The primary expression that was aching to move through my soul was painting.

So I let myself paint. I put it first, above all else, for days at a time... playing with various colors, styles, and mediums.

Not needing it to be part of a series, or 'sellable'... just allowing myself the freedom of brush, chalk, water, pastel, or paint.

In my early 20s, I was a professional artist. I set up and sold out my own shows in Los Angeles. Even with that success to validate it to my inner critic, returning to this form of artistry was still contentious.

Alas, I’ve done it!! The inner battle is over. Momentum and inner balance have been restored. Over the past few years, I’ve painted dozens of pieces and commissions, both small and large.

It feels so good!!

In an ideal world, I’d share them in person at a gallery, but my life is in (very good) motion right now, so that will have to wait.

In the meantime, I’m excited for them to be witnessed by you now!

There’s so much I could say about the necessity of beauty and art in our lives, which I’ve written about on my website…

But for today, I just want to share!

And...

I’d love your help.

Yes — you!

Early next year, I’d like to turn some of these pieces into prints... and possibly eco wearable art (scarves, shawls, kimonos, etc.), so I’d love to know which ones you LOVE.

👉 Click Here to View and Vote on Your Favorites >> bridgetnielsen.com/2025-gallery-bridget-nielsen/

I find that during the process of creating, there can be no judgment... so that the inspiration can come fully into form.

Once it’s created, art becomes subjective. People have preferences, and that’s perfectly okay with me... so be sure to vote!

Thank you for reading this, and for witnessing this wildly alive aspect of my inner life and creative being.

I appreciate it so much.

If an original piece is calling to you, I’d be honored to send it your way. Please reach out soon, as orders must be finalized by November 3rd to allow time for me to prepare and ship your painting in time for Christmas delivery.

In closing...

Please… always follow and express the creative musings of your soul.

If you feel compelled, moved, or inspired... it is of service to all. It’s part of your dharma and soul mission to support both yourself and the world.

Much, much love to you.

Sincerely,
Bridget

Renew Your Spirit in Sedona’s Sacred Embrace 😌 // Wow, contrast is a gift... 🎁

I just spent last week in Sedona and holy heavens, it really is amazing!

Something wonderful was seeded in our amazing Sedona retreat group last Spring 🌱 that’s now sprouting into magical synchronicities...

I'll be spending more time there, and I’m very grateful... after a few years in my Dagobah (Jedi Star Wars reference!) swamp initiation in East Texas.

Over the past year, I’ve been meditating a lot... and have become more aware of the subtlety of my mind, body sensations, and the energy field around me.

Last week in Sedona, I sat down on my cushion like every other morning — with no expectations — and boom: the majestic spiritual energy came like conscious waves of active plasma, attuning my aura and body... all I needed to do was calm my mind and receive.

I felt a quiet knowing, a fresh sense of direction, and a gentle invigoration of my spirit.

It was quite spectacular... a gift after diligently showing up for myself and my spirit through challenging energetics over the past few years.

Maybe you can relate... being in the mundane or challenges of daily life, not having the time, space, or supportive energy to really align with your path or receive guidance...

Or you may be doing well and feeling good… but have tucked away dreams and desires you long for, without even noticing.

It’s so, so, so important to take time out... be it a morning each week, a day every so often, or a trip away... to get perspective, realign, and nourish your spirit and soul!

I created this 👇 1 Day At-Home Retreat itinerary as a gift for you, so you can take the time and space you need for yourself.

Click Here to Download >> www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mnbscro3o5orpym825uqr/AtHom…

And if you’re needing more... you’re invited to join us in Sedona next February for a full reset... to realign and renew!

This 5-day Sedona Retreat is a sacred reset... a time to step out of daily life and realign with your soul! 😌

Through yoga, meditation, Cha Dao tea ceremonies, sound journeys, hikes through Sedona’s vortex sites, and creative rituals, you’ll renew your body, mind, and spirit... to reconnect with your inner light, and open to clear guidance for the path ahead.

The intention is to join together in Sedona’s sacred embrace... to nurture your spirit and renew your energy as you step into 2026 with soulful alignment and inspired clarity.

In harmony with winter’s quiet rhythm, this retreat invites you to slow down, replenish, and gently awaken your creative life force...

Surrounded by kindred spirits and the red rock magic of Sedona, you’ll return home rested, clear, and attuned to the natural pulse of your soul. ✨

New Video 🤗 📽️ // How to Make Spiritual Friends and Meaningful Relationships! Let's talk about friendship and connection for a sec...

Growing up I was the blackest of sheep, and often felt lonely and very out of place...

After becoming more authentically me in my 20s, I found my people, but had to learn from scratch (it's a skill) how to build and sustain healthy friendships and community.

It worked… and for many years I had almost too many incredible friends and was part of multiple thriving communities… in person!

Amongst all that goodness and connection… I was missing my honey… 💗

And of all the places he happened to be working… out in rural Texas. 🤠

So for the past few years, I’ve been out here. On the romantic front, it’s been well worth it... but socially, I’ve been quite isolated…

This is what I discovered: WE NEED [in person] HUMAN CONNECTION!

Haha 😅, this may not seem like a new revelation, but in reality… it is. This truth of our NEED must continue to burn within our hearts more than ever.

I’ll be back to my social thriving here shortly, so I’m not worried about that, but when I look out at the rest of the world… relationships of all kinds are frail and on the decline.

I’ve even seen people start to rely on AI just for someone to talk to… 😬

BUT there is another way. Incredible people are all around us if we can shift out of old patterns and look up from the screen!

True connection is part of our soul’s design. We need each other… to reflect, grow, and remember who we are.

In today’s video, I share the SKILLS of how to make spiritual friends and create meaningful relationships that support your spiritual awakening and personal evolution.

I share where to meet like-minded spiritual friends, how to create connection and deepen heart-centered friendships, and what it really means to find your soul tribe in today’s world...

We'll explore explore how to clear blocks that keep you feeling isolated and clarify how to shift your mindset to attract the right people.

I also share a bit about how I made friends in an unlikely place...

If you’ve been feeling the ache of loneliness, a little numb around the topic… or just tired of superficial relating… and longing for deeper connection 🙋‍♀️, I hear you!

I made this video to inspire you to realign with what you truly desire and reconnect with the deeper, meaningful connections that are possible for you.

Enjoy!!

Lots of love,
Bridget

Womb, Water + Winter 💧❄️ // Ladies, for the past few winters, I've felt the potential of this season 🍂❄️... the riches that lie resting in the depths, but I often bypass them... going with the frenzy of the holidays and the abrupt Gregorian New Year in the dead of winter.

Without conscious intention, culture has us skate along the icy surface, when the depths of our renewal are found in the deep still waters far below.

There's a reason the Celtic New Year is marked by Samhain (Halloween), because the true beginning originates in the dreams, prayers, and wishes that are seeded in the velvety darkness... the unmanifest.

This is the magic of woman.

It is not in the doing... and most definitely not in the hustle...

Creation, alignment, and manifestation of the life we dream of is seeded first in softening deeper, quiet listening, and stillness...

This is why our moontime bleeds 🩸 often land us flat on the Earth, for this is where we rise anew.

This space is also where our truest potential and vital life force are held...

The winter, the water, and the womb... is our source well, to drink from, and nourish our bodies and souls.

We're connected to this space, even when we forget or bypass it, because it is the seat of our regal Creatorship... our true nature as women.

This season, I don't want to miss it... I want to meet it with presence 😌 and meet it with you.

Join me to renew, receive, and remember your true worth.

Along with a group of amazing women...

She Doesn't Burn ~ She Flows // Ladies, I feel a swell of feminine inspiration this morning that I want to share...

It was sparked by a sweet message of praise in a seemingly random text I got from a close friend last night...

I asked her where it was coming from (we don't just randomly toot each other's horn)... She said she'd been watching my talk on the Divine Feminine that I gave at Dan Winter's conference in Southern France last fall (yes, swoon).

Click Here To Watch >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB9xQ...

I tried to remember what the talk was about and recalled one of the highlights being the power of the feminine and our voices, exemplified by the fact that the Vatican sequestered Magdalene's jawbone for centuries... only her jawbone.

I think these stories are very important in these times to emphasize just how powerful we are as women...

That kings were terrified of a woman untying a knot in a piece of string... Yup, this act supposedly unleashed the stormy seas that sank the king’s ships, which led to the brutal witch hunts in Scotland.

But fearing our power misses the truth of who we are entirely.

In our most authentic expression, women — an expression of the feminine — are benevolent, creators of LIFE.

When met with resistance, suppression, or misunderstanding, our natural lived element of water is replaced by fire — attempting to prove, survive, and emulate men — which has led to the burnout of women on a massive scale.
We are not fire.

Sure, we have fire... and we can do just about anything, but acting from that place isn't our nature.
At this time in humanity, feminine essence is needed more than ever — not in rebellion of the patriarch or to prove anything, but to move beyond those old dynamics and stories...

To return and remember our true nature...

The indescribable, the primordial...

I feel the aim as returning to creatorship, rather than gaining power.

This attunment moves our energy from the head and solar plexus back into the seat of our divinity... our wombs, led by the heart.

This is where (energetically and physically) I’ve discovered unmovable reverence, love, and respect for myself...
Like water, it’s in the deep undercurrent that change and creation begin to stir...

YES, our power can be found in action and in the spoken word... and oftentimes even more so in what we don’t say... in the subtlety, in the being-ness, and in our sacred dance with the unseen.

I’ve been sharing here about my newfound passion for spinning fiber... intentionally bringing etheric clouds of wool into form.

As I’ve been exploring this craft, I learned there’s medieval imagery depicting women using their spindles as 'weapons' against the swords of men.

This is how we wield our power... through creatorship.

When we are in alignment with the principles and virtues of LIFE, the feminine can materialize as a vessel for Creation itself.

My contemplation and listening as we move into fall and winter (the season of yin water) is to temper the fire, go beyond the programming, and feel the undercurrent of my nature... of my creatorship.

I’m beginning to hear the whispers and feel the gifts of its effortless flow... of grace, joy, and deep peace.

My invitation to you is to dive in...
to remember the quiet places where creation begins,
to listen for the hum beneath the noise,
and to trust the current that moves through you.

Because this is where we create...
not from force,
but from the sacred flow of who we truly are.

Sending you lots of love,
Bridget
