I actually never played the first Minecraft Dungeons game until last fall when I was working on my video about the end update. Even though I was late to the party I really enjoyed playing it, so it's a real treat to have another entry in the series so soon for me.

I had 3 big takeaways from my initial playtest. 1: the game looks GORGEOUS. They overhauled the graphics and it looks even better than the first one. 2: jumping feels really good. I didn't think much about the lack of jumping in Dungeons 1, but now I almost can't imagine the game without it. 3: it is so much more open! It's not open world per say, but the levels all flow together in a way that makes it feel more like exploring in the base game. The home base encampment area feels a bit less confusing as well.

From what I can tell a lot of the game systems have been made even deeper, so I can't wait to dive in a bit more when the game launches.
