Q1? Growth! Grit! and a lot of showing up🔁
As Q1 comes to a close, I’m filled with gratitude as I look back on an extraordinary three months.
This quarter, I didn’t just stay in my lane, I expanded horizons. I onboarded a new cohort of aspiring Virtual Assistants, refining my coaching systems across admin, customer support, and executive virtual assistants.
The year started strong with a Virtual Assistant Bootcamp where I trained over 100 Virtual Assistants to become Executive Virtual Assistants. That experience alone set the tone for everything that followed.
A huge milestone was the planning and execution of my first-ever Summit, The Growth Summit, held from the 19th to the 21st. Months of preparation came together in a powerful, value-packed experience, and the best part?
This is just the beginning. I’m building it to become something huge & sustainable with all professionals in mind.
I also had the honour of being invited by one of Nigeria’s leading learning platforms, TS Academy, to deliver a mentorship session for their Novara cohort, right after completing a training. That moment meant a lot.
And somewhere in the middle of all this, I turned a new age. A new year, a new season.
But beyond the visible wins, this Q1 stretched me in deeply personal ways.
I showed up more consistently than ever before. I faced something I used to shy away from, being on camera. I created more video content, put my voice out there, and allowed myself to be seen.
I also leaned fully into my creative skills. A large percentage of the Graphic design from the summit and a good number of the videos I posted, I created and edited them myself.
I did all of this while being a wife and a toddler mum.
Not perfectly. Not effortlessly. But intentionally.
This quarter I learnt that growth isn’t always loud, it’s in the Discipline, the Consistency, and the Courage to keep showing up.
On to Q2: more impact, deeper creativity, and even greater alignment.

One of the highlight of the month for me was when I had a mentorship session with VAs who had just completed there training at TS Academy.
I remembered exactly how that feels.
The excitement. The uncertainty. The quiet voice asking, “okay, I have the skills… now what?”
At the TS Academy Novara Mentorship Session, I shared something I’ve never packaged quite like this before, The VANCES Framework. An after-training roadmap I built from my own journey.
From leaving a career in banking because I was craving freedom…
To stumbling on an ALX application form and saying yes…
To volunteering for everything, networking intentionally, and finally landing my first client through a relationship I almost didn’t pursue…
Every step of that story became a letter in the framework.
V — Vision
A — Adapt
N — Network
C — Commit
E — Elevate
S — Show Up
It wasn’t theory. It was my life.
If you are a VA who has just finished training and you are wondering where to start, save this. Come back to it. And remember that the course was just the door. What you do after is everything.

TGS 1.0 Wrap up post
395 registrations. 3 days. 25 volunteers. 3 speakers. 1 vision.
That’s The Growth Summit 1.0 in numbers but the numbers don’t tell the whole story.
When I decided to convene TGS 1.0, the goal was simple, to bring virtual assistants together, equip them, and show them what’s possible in 2026 and beyond.
The moment that made everything worth it? Watching attendees at the end of each day reflect on what they’d just learned. Seeing them identify their gaps, connect the dots, and realise what they needed to change. And then the feedback that poured in after Day 3, that confirmed that this was always worth doing.
To every attendee: don’t file this away for “when you’re ready.”
The AI tools, the strategies, the positioning, start implementing today. Not later. Now.
TGS 1.0 is done. The growth is just beginning.

Behind every successful event is a team that believed in the vision before it became a reality.
The Growth Summit 1.0 just wrapped and I cannot close this chapter without shining a very bright light on the incredible team that made it all happen behind the scenes. These were not just volunteers they were a powerhouse of creative minds, sharp professionals, and dedicated individuals who showed up fully from day one to the very last session.
Oluwafoise Tolulope Esther I made a post on Thread about need some volunteers for a project she jumped in without hesitation, contributed brilliantly to our content, and showed up with the kind of professionalism that makes a convener’s job so much easier.
Victoria Ojuola was quite literally my right hand throughout this entire process. Every day, every session, every concept note, every operational detail she handled it all with such excellence that she made my job genuinely easy. I could not have done this without her.
Rashidat Oluwatosin Adetubo came onboard and quietly delivered some of the most impressive work of the entire event. She created our AI video completely independently, handled content writing, and brought a level of creativity and initiative that honestly blew me away. She has already received referrals from the AI video she made for TGS 1.0 and I am not even surprised.
Kafayat Tiamiyu was our online events moderator and game night host and she was PHENOMENAL. She managed our pre-summit game nights, kept attendees engaged and informed, and during the live sessions, the way she connected with people you would think she had known them for years. Her engagement was effortless, warm, and incredibly effective.
Chioma Oyem worked closely with Victoria, she stepped in and handled her responsibilities with such calm professionalism. She is someone you can place on your team and simply trust no micromanaging needed, no complaints, just excellent execution.
Aderopo Awoyeye worked on the topics for each session, concept notes & also assisted Victoria with some Administrative tasks. He was always ready to jump on impromptu tasks & he executed them exceptionally.
Then my Graphic Designers: Best Quality Graphics (He handled the brand assets) & Joshua(The fliers). Unfortunately, they ain’t on here. Gosh! these guys are the best, they were so patient, swift & selfless.
And I must say, all of them did not just work behind the scenes. They were live, actively engaging in the sessions, hyping the room, and showing up as true ambassadors of TGS 1.0 even while doing their roles. That level of commitment is rare and I do not take it for granted.
To y’all, THANK YOU. You took my vision and ran with it like it was your own. The Growth Summit 1.0 was successful because of you.
If you ever need a content creator, an executive VA, an ops assistant, an admin VA, a project manager these are your people. I recommend every single one of them wholeheartedly.
