Our constitutional freedoms are under attack left and right, in plain sight and behind the scenes.

For so long, we Americans have tasted freedoms that millions could only dream of.

We’ve become so accustomed to our way that it seems impossible to live any other way.

Yet a new order is brewing.

Not just in America or the West, but worldwide.

As Christians, we know Satan is the temporary ruler of this world, so we shouldn’t be surprised to see the trials coming to our nation, which is as fallen as any other.

These freedoms we’ve embraced were never promised forever.

This world is being liberated from its mask, and the true belly of the beast is being exposed— one which has always lurked not too far below.

It’s ugly.
It’s vicious.
It’s rebellious.
But it’s real.

We couldn’t go on pretending forever.

Gorging ourselves on excess while our own people perish in poverty.

True freedom wasn’t born in the American Constitution.
It’s been available since Calvary.

We can only see that in the light of day.

Though nationalism tries to keep the illusion alive, it will ultimately fail.

This world will change.
Markedly.
And in many ways, suddenly— as we learned in 2020.

It’s with great confidence in and by the grace of God that we can say of the Lord:

He is our helper, and there is no other.

We are free by His bloodshed at Calvary.

This can never be stripped from us.

We understand that we live in strange and divisive times,
but they’re times prophesied of by Jesus the Christ Himself.

He foreknew our potential fear and worry today,
and He graciously spoke to us clearly:
“Do not fear.”
“Do not be deceived.”

To many, the progressive stripping away of our American dream will undoubtedly feel like a kind of surrender— one born from weakness and complacency.

But this couldn’t be more untrue.

These are the birth pangs which designate the times and usher in the King of all kings.

If you only look with eyes of flesh, you won’t see that.

You’ll look to the world instead of up, from where your true help comes.

Yet with spiritual eyes, you bear witness to your place in God’s plan since the beginning,
and you’ll embrace an entirely new Kingdom—

One this world cannot fathom, yet one you were born into as soon as you believed.

Let the peace of God govern your hearts as you let go of your right to this world and everything it’s offered you.

Take hold of the life everlasting—

which can only be gripped in our full surrender,
in our total devotion,
to the Creator of all things.

“Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
