This is something sent to me in another email that reflects a PWN CNC spindle with a set screw in the the large HY connector not holding with a fractured connector. Be careful where you invest your money.

This is very interesting, and I hope you all take some time to review these images.
I just received these images in emails from one of the upset clients using PWNCNC. You can see in one image the shield drain on the spindle's control cable is left without any connector for termination yet he paid for an assembled cable.
I prefer to use a soldered on ring connector for no possibility of pulling out for safety as its best practice for termination..
The images also reflect they want you to attach the shield drain to a ground rod. This is interesting because the shield drain in the image if you pay careful attention is on the end of the cable that interfaces with the VFD's terminal block.
We then have confirmation from their forum on once again where someone is directing him to attaching the shield drain to a ground rod which is not at all standard as the shield drain should be installed on the end of the cable that integrates with the controller as this the cable to control his spindle's speed, and cycling on, and off.
Best practice is to install the shield on the end of the cable that goes to the CNC electronics enclosure to allow the shield drain to be terminated to the enclosure's ground bus.

I just received another picture of an upset client from PWNCNC. Here's a picture of his spindle cable without any ground drain attached on either end.
Tomorrows video will be very interesting I assure you.
