Scored some harder to find 8-tracks at Kanesville Kollectibles the other day, including this Quadrophonic version of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon. Hoping to add these to the shop to round out the small selection of 8-tracks that are for sale…
One of these I bought… one of these I passed on. 🤔
Was thrilled to find an OG UK pressing of The Beatles - Rubber Soul at Kanesville Kollectibles. Got it for a GREAT price.
This copy of Cold Blood’s Thriller was priced at $10 but the jacket had some heavy moisture damage at the bottom. Vinyl was VG+ / NM but needed a good cleaning. It came up on Discogs at around $16 median and was labeled as Funk / Soul. VERY tempting but I decided to allocate the funds to some iconic 8-track cassettes that I’ll post about tomorrow…
I listened to Rubber Soul all day yesterday, and it sounded great and made me glad to add it to the collection.
Would you have grabbed Cold Blood? What do you value a VG+ OG UK copy of Rubber Soul?
Finally got an original pressing (Allied) of Master of Puppets! Thanks to Tim at Kanesville Kollectibles for letting me know it was available when I walked in this morning…
Some weekend pickups… hit an estate sale for the first time in well over a month and was surprised to find three valuable records still available on Day 2 for only $2 each.
Stopped into Homer’s here in Omaha to buy some record sleeves and checked the rarities case and found Weezer’s blue album on cassette. Immediate buy! Been looking for that one for a long time…
And one of our regular sellers at the shop brought in a bunch of CDs including this awesome copy of The Smashing Pumpkins Melloncollie & The Infinite Sadness…
The shop was busy this weekend and we actually sold more cassettes than vinyl records! Wasn’t expecting that…
Some recent thrift store scores and a few purchases from Kanesville Kollectibles. The Goss & Lysdahl was the real surprise… 85¢ at the thrift! Some new videos in the pipeline including another valuable 45 I found at a small town thrift store in Colorado…
Borrowed a friend’s Record Pi to try to de-warp two records worth around $400. Think it’ll work? 🤷♂️ I’m filming the process for a future YT vid all about it… 🤞🙏 @recordpi
Mostly country records at this morning’s estate sale. I took some video after my initial pass because there were 4 other vinyl guys going through the records… I did get a couple of good cassettes and did very well on CDs - a lot of metal. Video coming soon!
