Wow 380 subs, never thought my channel would have that many people.

If some of you want specific videos let me know and i'll make them, I'm looking into simply putting out all of the graphic design information I know to help people out. I don't know where the industry is going, but if you need to learn certain things or want my POV on how to do it, leave me a comment below.

I work full time now so its hard to make vids, but I can squeeze in maybe 1 every 2 weeks.

Did you know that when you justify text you can create rivers if you're not careful in balancing the space between your characters/words?
Rivers are empty spaces that cascade down your paragraphs. This can become a dilemma when others are trying to read your ads or event posters.
Thankfully pretty much all design software and Word have settings to fix this 🙂

Todays challenge is : Design a feature spread for a magazine. You need to use InDesign and it has to be an editorial piece. You can use unsplash or pexels for pictures and chatgpt to create your content!

Welcome to all the new subs!

If you're new here my name is Kmy, I've been in graphic design for almost a decade, I've worked in screen printing, marketing & as a freelancer during that time. I dabble in After effects, Adobe premier pro, Indesign, illustrator, Photoshop & Figma, so I know a variety of things.

I just wanted to send out a quick update to tell you all that I caught Co*** last friday so I'm currently trying to recover from that. My voice is shot so its hard to make videos during this time.

I am getting better though and will be back soon! If there's anything in particular that you would like to learn more about drop it down in the comments below, maybe it will be my next video :)

Day 3 of my october challenge, redesign a horror book cover.

Cujo was the first Stephen King book I read back in high school and I really loved it, not being an avid reader it was what I need to start more of his series, including the dark tower series.

Its pretty simple , but thats how I like them, in my head the grungy scratches could have a spot uv on them or maybe the teeth to create a different effect like drool or just blood spatters!
