Today the channel has reached the 15,000 subscriber milestone which is honestly weird to me since I haven't been uploading very much.

But thank you to everyone who has supported the channel over the years And I honestly do not deserve any of you or any of this success frankly. I know that the uploads have been severely lacking in the last few months. I am trying to slowly come back with planning videos out and working on a more regular upload schedule again. But truthfully I have been finding things quite difficult recently and consuming energy takes up most of my days especially recently. However I do miss uploading and want to make videos again more frequently for sure especially doing videos with other people.

I really want to collab with other creators like @Hunter Hansen - The Life Autistic sometime for example. Maybe even ‪@TheAspieWorld‬ as I know we've talked about it before & it would be cool! Also for me it will be nice to feel apart of the #actuallyautistic community again as I have definitely not been involved as much as I should have been. But also try to connect to you guys again as I know I've been very absent.

But anyways enough of the negative talk on my part. Thank you again for helping reach this awesome milestone guys. You are the best!

Hi indie people! So it's been awhile since I posted an actual video on here but wanted to check in.

Firstly, how you are doing? & Also as a general query, would you want to see/hear more about my personal life i.e. add more life stories into my videos.

What I've realised lately is that I do alot & it would be nice to try and merge some of these into YouTube. Before anyone say it, I won't do VLOGS... The idea makes me ill 😂

So on Saturday, my band finally got to play live again after 18 months!

There's honestly no feeling like to playing songs you've written together and performing them on a stage with people watching!

Just to ask, would me talking about being in a band be something you would want to see in a video? It's something I want to do but I guess it would help to know if there's an audience for it 😂

So I've been away for a month it seems... Didn't think it has been that long 😂 yeah the past month has been very busy with not only getting this wedding of mine sorted out but also my band have been rehearsing LOADS for our first gig since the pandemic next week.

So it's been hectic and left no time for the YouTube stuff BUT I'll be posting a new video next week.

Beyond this, uploads with definitely be sporadic at least until the wedding is done next month. So make sure you have notifications on and be sure to follow me on other social media (Instagram is where I tend to do updates).

Apologies for the lack of content recently, it's been really busy with wedding prep, band prep for our first gig back since the start of COVID & the weather has been unbearable.

Also and I know you guys will understand this but I've just not been myself. Keeping myself to myself and just wanting to stay in the shell for as long as humanly possible because everything outside it is just overwhelming.

While I try to help others through the videos, I guess what this post is about is what advice would you have for someone who's not feeling right or themselves? Also how do you guys deal (or not deal with the heat)? 🥵

Hi guys!


I'm happy to say that I'm looking to revamp the IndieAndy channel over the next few weeks for my return in June. I don't want to set a date as that just fills me with anxiety but know that I'm working on coming back soon.


To summarise my break so far... I've played 50 hours of Final Fantasy X, went on walks and just been spending time on me. It's not been much but it was needed.


The last few weeks have been so odd to me as I have been uploading videos to YouTube pretty constantly for nearly 5 years now. But I have no regrets in my decision to step back as I was overwhelmed and burnout beyond belief. Also switching off social media more frequently has helped my mind become more clear.


Honestly it is something I would recommend to anyone who feels they are struggling with the online space. Especially to those autistic creators/advocates who promote acceptance and inclusion and work tirelessly to help our community... Honestly remember where your limit is. As much as we want to try to create change or do good, it is useless doing so when you have no energy or are struggling to keep up with demand. But know also that the work that you do, wherever it's a massive project with massive reach OR the simple act of responding to someone in the autistic community or a parent asking you for their advice is valued.


It's been nice seeing messages and comments from people talking about the work I've done is appreciated by them. But there is still much work to do be done by not just but by all of us in a community where I feel I belong.


The work will resume in June and I'm looking forward to getting back to it!
