Wild Arms 4 is coming back next week on the 21st of April!
This PS2 entry in the Media.Vision & Japan Studio RPG has never been made re-released or remastered, this will be the first time the game has been available since its original release on the PlayStation 2 in 2005/2006. The original copy of this game is highly collectable and expensive today so this will be a fantastic way to play the game in a modern way. Wild Arms 1-3 are already available on PS4 and PS5.
Wild Arms 4 will cost no extra charge for any members of PS Plus Premium, but can also be purchased without the subscription.
Hopefully we could see the other three Wild Arms games yet to release on modern platforms
- Wild Arms Alter Code: F (PS2)
- Wild Arms 5 (PS2)
- Wild Arms XF (PSP)
Will you be picking up Wild Arms 4 next week?

2007! This was the first full year of the PlayStation 3, however it suffered from a rocky launch. Luckily the PS2 was still going very strong! These are my four favourite PlayStation Games from 2007!
Tomb Raider Anniversary by Crystal Dynamics is my favourite entry in the globe trotting adventure series. Lara was at her peak here. The action was incredible, the graphics are still gorgeous today and this was the best Tomb Raider adventure but remade for the PS2. I played this countless times and still love loading it up and listening to the main menu theme song.
God of War 2 by Sony Santa Monica is one of the best video game sequels. It was larger than the first game in almost every way. Bigger set pieces, more boss battles, more weapons, new powers, the list goes on. Kratos defeats fate itself! The opening battle against the Colossus of Rhodes was unlike anything else I saw at the time. This game was epic!
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga by TT Games was one of the earliest games I played when I eventually got the PS3. The two separate Lego Star Wars games on the PS2 were huge fun, but The Complete Saga blew them out of the water with the amount of content and custom character possibilities were available here. With new levels, rebuilt vehicle stages, and an enormous character roster; this was the best Lego crossover at the time, and still is awesome today.
MotorStorm by Evolution Studios was the one PS3 launch title that completely captured my interest back in the day. High adrenaline races, a huge selection of vehicles from bikes to trucks, and some really impressive mud physics. MotorStorm was unlike any other racing game I had played. An excellent setup, great tracks and an awesome soundtrack made this my favourite PS3 exclusive from 2007.

2006! The final year of the PlayStation 2 as Sony’s primary home console platform. For the last year, the console was still going strong with many classics released in these 12 months. My favourites of 2006 consist of;
Kingdom Hearts 2 by Square Enix. A triumphant sequel to the original game, with better combat, level design, and world variety. This is another one of my most played games on the PS2, I must’ve played the opening chapter so many times.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance by Raven Software was such an incredible Marvel game. We’d not seen a crossover like it before. With incredible amounts of replay value, tons to unlock & upgrade, a great campaign and an awesome roster of Marvel characters, Ultimate Alliance was fantastic. It had an atmosphere the sequels have been unsuccessful trying to recapture.
Black by Criterion Games is one of the generations best first person shooters. It has epic combat and blockbuster action. This game really impressed me when I first played it. Blowing up the buildings, and the dark gritty aesthetic made it such a memorable game for the time.
Bully/Canis Canem Edit by Rockstar Vancouver was one of those games you could just get lost in for hours back in 2006. But it also had a unique setting and premise you couldn’t find elsewhere, even still today. With Rockstars iconic open ended design; mixed with playing as a student breaking the rules, there is just nothing like Bully. It’s great to go back to and revisit even today.

2005! This year is by far my favourite year of video games of all time. This year had so many great games that didn’t make my four favourite list (Devil May Cry 3, Tekken 5, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Dynasty Warriors 5, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, LEGO Star Wars, Burnout Revenge, Sly 3, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and so many more). To say 2005 was STACKED is an understatement. But I have to pick four and I’m happy with the ones I chose here;
God of War by Sony Santa Monica is one of my favourite PS2 action games. It was so influential to me, I later got so into Classic Greek literature and movies based on the mythology (Jason and the Argonauts & the original Clash of the Titans) because of this game. The tragic story of Kratos and his quest for vengeance against Ares is one for the ages and backed up by epic set pieces and superb combat.
Resident Evil 4 by Capcom is definitely in my top 10 games of all time. This was my first Resident Evil game, and one of the earlier mature rated games I was given to play when I was younger. I spent so many nights playing the opening village section as I didn’t have the courage to play further. Spin kicking the heads of Ganados’; and managing Leon’s briefcase inventory was so much fun. This is a legendary video game.
Star Wars Battlefront II by Pandemic Studios is by far my most played PS2 game. I spend thousands of hours playing instant action; as every class, from every faction, on every map, in every mode. Roleplaying as a soldier on the battlefield of Star Wars most iconic battles is epic. You also had playable heroes across the whole saga, a single player campaign with a strong story of a 501st clone trooper and unlimited replay value.
Shadow of the Colossus by Sony Japan Studio is another breathtaking adventure just like their predecessor Ico. Journeying across the vast open world on horseback, and slaying huge titans was not only so unique; but also devastating. Killing these stunning beasts in an effort to save our loved one is a chilling tale. With unbelievable visuals and an incredible soundtrack, Shadow of the Colossus is one of the PS2’s most powerful experiences.

Today I’ve started my first new game of March. Fatal Frame 2 Crimson Butterfly Remake will be my next review on the channel. You can check out my review of the previous Fatal Frame games already on the channel. A few years ago I covered Fatal Frame 1, 2, 3 and Maiden of Black Water in a single retrospective video. This and Crimson Desert are my two most anticipated games this month so I heavily look forward to getting this next video out for you. Should have it completed and uploaded around the games launch on the Twelfth. Hope you’re all having a great day!

It’s time for my top four favourite PlayStation Games of 2004! This was the tenth year of the PlayStation in the west and what a glorious year of games it was. For me Mortal Kombat Deception was everything I could ever ask for from this series. An epic roster of fighters, deadly new finishers, a huge open world story mode and super fun side modes - I genuinely think I spent more time playing Chess Kombat than literally any other MK game. Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games also delivered two equally incredible third entries in their masterful Jak and Daxter & Ratchet and Clank franchises. Easily my favourites in both game series’. Lastly Konami delivered yet again another game of the ages with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. My top 4 of 2004 -
Ratchet & Clank 3 by Insomniac Games
Mortal Kombat: Deception by Midway
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater by Konami
Jak 3 by Naughty Dog
