Sometimes a design doesn’t stop at the first version…
When I finished the Morning Light Top, I kept thinking how it would look worked in solid rows instead of the lace sections.
But the first version received so much love that I didn’t want to take the attention away from it.
Still… I couldn’t get the idea out of my head.
So I made this version — solid stitches, short sleeves — and I have to admit, I think I might love this one even more 🤍
Different texture, different feel… same piece, just seen in another way.
What do you think — lace or solid?

Day 64/365
Today was a quiet design day.
I spent most of the day working on the pattern for the Evening Mist Top.
This design actually started a while ago with the light green prototype, but as the collection started to take shape, I decided to remake it in this darker shade so I will have enough yarn for the other piece of the set.
Today I worked mostly on writing and checking the pattern instructions. It’s always a slower process than crocheting the piece itself, but it’s the part that makes the design possible to recreate.

Day 51/365 ✨
Friday means weekly recap.
This week felt full in the quiet, steady way I love.
I finished the linen skirt 🤍
Changed my mind about the color for the Diamonds stitch set and started the top — and by the end of the week, it was already done.
And in between, I filmed a new YouTube video sharing the design process behind the linen skirt.

Day 50/365 ✨
A quiet workday behind the scenes.
Today I spent most of my time on the Diamonds Top — now in a new color after deciding to change it. I’m happy to say only the top border and straps are left to finish 🤍
I also filmed a new YouTube video about the design process of the linen skirt, which will be coming soon.
Not every day is about big reveals.
Sometimes it’s just steady progress, one project at a time.

Day 37/365 ✨
Friday means weekly recap.
I mostly do these for myself — because it feels good, at the end of the week, to see that things are moving, even when it sometimes feels like I didn’t do that much.
This week I finished the linen top (still without a name 🤍),
started a new project using the stitch pattern from My Precious Sweater — a design that means a lot to me,
listed another earrings design in the @bkartwear Etsy shop,
and finally published Part 3 of the Aria Cardigan tutorial — which means the full video is now complete.
Ending the week right here, in the car, waiting for my daughter to finish her dance lesson.
Looking forward to the next one 🤍

Day 24/365 ✨
Today started with undoing everything and beginning again.
Same project, fresh start.
Later, I dropped my daughter off at her drawing lesson. She practiced drawing lips and eyes, and honestly, I think she did a great job. Watching her explore and learn so freely reminded me that starting over is part of the process — in art, in making, in everything.

I spent almost the entire day working on the Aria Cardigan pattern.
Pattern writing is not my favorite part — I’m always questioning if everything is clear enough, if I should add more, explain less, change this or that. But the feeling after finishing, when everything is finally packed together, is so rewarding.
Today I was wearing a mohair version of the Pride Summer Sweater I made last year. Same pattern, bigger hook, more oversized fit.
A long day, but a good one 🤍
