I’m heartbroken to notify you all that our friend ‪@KeeganPVP‬ unfortunately passed away a couple weeks ago on March 8th. For the past 2 years, he was courageously fighting a type of blood cancer called leukemia, and he sadly had a relapse with it right after his birthday in September. I had the honor of being with him at the hospital during his final days, and could easily tell from my interactions with him and his family that this community truly meant the world to Keegan. I know he was close friends with a lot of you, and I’m so deeply sorry for everyone’s loss. I also know that this news may come as a shock to many; Keegan didn’t want others to feel bad that he was struggling so much, nor did he want to be viewed any differently for having cancer, so he didn’t tell many people what he was going through. It is only with permission from his family that I am sharing all of this news now.

Having been in the room with him during his final moments, I can say with total confidence that Keegan fought as hard as he possibly could until the very end. He never surrendered at any point during his battle with cancer, and even more amazingly, he did it all while constantly going out of his way every day to uplift people and show kindness. For all the time I knew Keegan, his top priorities were always to be a good person and to display love and friendship to others. Even in his role as a moderator here, Keegan continued to contribute the fullest extent of his care and support to our community during the entire course of his treatment. Throughout it all he showed true selflessness and character in a time when it would’ve been so easy to do the opposite, and I honestly couldn’t be more proud of him for being the remarkable type of person that he was!

What I’ve always admired the most about Keegan though was his unending eagerness to befriend everyone he met. From the instant that he found my streams nearly 5 years ago, he excitedly extended his full friendship to me, and I’ve seen him do the same for countless other community members since then. Keegan wasn’t just any ordinary friend either, but an overwhelmingly supportive, caring, and dedicated one, and even though he was younger than me, a lot of what I’ve learned about how to be a good friend, show compassion, and spread happiness comes from his example.

Another thing that always stood out to me about Keegan was his ability to light up any darkness with his amazing sense of humor, kindness, and ridiculously big and caring heart! He had a talent for making people smile, and I honestly don’t think anyone has ever made me laugh as often or as hard as he did. Whether it was making fun of Canadians, pretending like Chester the dog wasn’t his prisoner (cause he definitely was), defending his very fraudulent Chiefs football team, or just screaming “Fire Yo Swag!”, Keegan was always down to smile, laugh, and joke about anything and everything. I know I’m not just speaking for myself when I say that laughing with him was the highlight of my day more often than not.

Keegan was genuinely one of the kindest, funniest, sweetest, and most supportive people I’ve ever known, and I’m so proud to have created a space with all of you where he felt like he truly belonged and was able to make so many friends and have so much fun! I know that everything Keegan did here he did with the hope of spreading positivity and happiness, and he definitely succeeded at that! He was beyond dedicated to being a part of this community, and even when nobody else was watching streams or chatting in Discord, Keegan always would be. He was, in many ways, the heart and soul of my channel, and I honestly don’t think I’d be making content still if it wasn’t for him and all his support. We were all extremely blessed to have been such a large and special part of his life, so thank you to everyone for having made him feel deeply loved and welcomed here.

I’m so incredibly lucky that out of everyone in the world, one of the people who I loved the very most wanted to be best friends forever with me too! I’m so grateful that you found my streams all those years ago, and that you wanted to be such an active part of my community and life. Nobody’s ever done a better job at showing me what real unconditional love in a friendship actually looks like! You were truly my #1 supporter, my absolute best buddy, and my chosen little brother! I seriously couldn’t have possibly found a better best friend. Our bond was so incredibly special to me, and I’ll never stop loving you with all of my heart, man. So thankful that I got to be your best buddy, and I promise that you’ll continue to always be mine too! I love you forever, Keegan 🩵
