For most of my life, I couldn’t find the words to explain what I was going through. I searched for songs that could speak for me, but none ever fully fit. I finally have a way to create my own.
I never expected this process to be so helpful. What started as an experiment, or even a joke quickly evolved into something I needed; an outlet that lets me take the weight inside and turn it into something I can see, hear, and reflect on. When I listen back, I can see where I was, and sometimes even where I’m headed.
