Hi all,

There will be no album or live video hitting your subscription feed this upcoming Monday. Instead we are reviving a channel year-end tradition: Best-of playlists!

This tradition was paused last year due to technical difficulties, but I'm happy to announce that this year will go on as originally planned. This is exciting for me because these are videos that I really put effort into (I am not a super techy person), and sometimes it really pays off and they become some of my most viewed videos.

The first of six (6) compilation videos gets dropped tomorrow, and the rest will gradually follow into the New Year. Does anyone have any guesses to which artists I've highlighted this year?

This 3 year old upload of "Lucidity" is finally available to view in all territories. The audio quality might be slightly below what has become standard in my uploads (and I don't strive for super high quality now), but I'm just content that the Delain-shaped hole in this channel has been filled.

No new uploads coming yet, but it's not an improbability.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great Halloween, Día de los muertos, Samhain, All Saints and All Souls, or Diwali for those who celebrate. I don't know if you could tell by that opening statement but I've beem meaning to post this message for over a week.

Earlier today I posted Sanguis et Cinis' album Madrigal, and that will be the last video on this channel for the forseeable future. Unfortunately my computer (which has had some major issues for a while now) finally gave out just as I burned through my reserve of uploaded content. At present I do not have immediate plans to replace the machine.

Hopefully I won't be long, I do want to wrap up those end-of-year playlists that have become tradition on this channel. I only have three completed, and I was halfway through completing the fourth when my computer shat the bed. Will see how all that goes when the time comes.

Meanwhile, I appreciate the understanding. Maybe you all can give my previous playlists a listen, I am pretty proud of the recent two-part "Best of Gothic Metal" playlists (https://youtu.be/vkVndFf9Yw8?si=Vhapv..., if those interest you at all.

BONUS COMPILATION! Best of Visions of Atlantis (2002-2019)

2023 ended with a string of band-specific playlists, something that has become something of a tradition on this channel. And I got a bonus one for you: Visions of Atlantis: The Best of (2002-2019). This playlist was actually made to be part of the original batch of playlists in December 2021, back before I knew what I was doing (some might say I still don’t) – so if you notice that it’s not as extravagant in aesthetic, and is somewhat lower audio quality, that’s why.

This playlist has gone dormant for two years due to copyright claims (this is why the Within Temptation playlist exists, as a last-minute replacement for this one), and only recently has gone from “Blocked in all territories” to “Blocked in some territories” (and statistically only 22% will be able to watch it, anyway), but I don’t really want to sit on it anymore. Mostly because at the time, it was designed to be a full-career spanning playlist, something that cannot be said for it anymore as VoA are still active and will continue to release albums.

So if you can watch it, please do. If you are unable to, you can see the tracklist below, and make your own version on Spotify or some other platform.

Hi all, just a few things:

1. Thanks for 2,000 subscribers! I meant to post about that when it happened a while back, but completely forgot.

2. I know I haven't uploaded anything for a hot minute, I've been super bogged down with work, but I do plan to continue uploading albums and playlists soon.

3. I've thought about it, and I'm contemplating uploading new videos of rare, unavailable-through-streaming albums in slightly higher sound quality. Would that be of interest to anyone, or are people content with the versions already on the channel? (Again, only albums unavailable through streaming or digital purchase, or releases that are generally difficult to come by. That does not extend to albums that are readily available through online venues.)

Hi everybody, just jumping in here to let you know of a few previously blocked videos that are now available to watch.

First off, April Rain by Delain, I've been getting a lot of requests for Delain, but it's still mostly impossible (I don't really intend to share their 2010s stuff, I think it's still a little too recent. I have made a few exceptions in the past though.)
