Today is World Mental Health Day.

It's also been more than a year-and-a-half since the pandemic turned the lives of millions of people upside-down. For many people - especially those who live alone (a group of people I was in for the first 8 months of pandemic-related lockdowns), frontline workers, and those with pre-existing mental health conditions - it's been an extremely challenging time.

Today is a good day to remind ourselves to take care of ourselves and the people around us, from family members to colleagues to the guy who delivers our take-outs. It's a good day to remind ourselves to choose kindness, empathy, and understanding. It's a good day to remind ourselves that it's okay to ask for help.

Yes, that's a Christmas tree! In September!

In the Philippines, we celebrate the Christmas season the moment the "-ber months" begin - so by September, many households have their trees up, including ours.

Expect the backgrounds of videos from this week until January (maybe) to be this festive!

Any suggestions on what I should add or remove? The tree, unfortunately, is non-negotiable since this is the only corner in the condo that can accommodate it.
