I’ve got an update for you all! 🚨
I’ve officially launched a brand-new channel: Thai Talk with Dan (Unleashed).
I have been quite busy lately uploading my content on YouTube, Facebook, Spotify, Rumble and TikTok and also trying to create a new way of making the videos.... I feel like a Zombie 🧟
So, anyway, with living in the land of "Notorious" Smiles for 9.5 years I’ve accrued a lot of knowledge (and a few scars!) so I have a lot to share that will hopefully be helpful to others 🤞 and I was going to do it via this channel but I think it's best to keep it separate so I've created a new YouTube channel.
This new channel is going to be your go-to for educational content—everything you actually need to know about Thailand, delivered straight & upfront as normal but more refined.
So, what happens to this channel?
Don't worry, I’m not going anywhere! Even though I know some would love if I did 😅🙈
Thai Talk with Dan is going back to its roots. I’m bringing back the "old school" style you guys loved—heavy on the storytelling, packed with those classic funny clips, and yes... unfortunately for you, my ugly face is going back on camera! 🤣 That’s the style that made this channel what it is, and that’s exactly what I’m going to stick to on here 🤝

Now that I’m back in the UK, I’ve been thinking about how I can deliver these Thailand stories in a much better way.
Up until now, I’ve basically just been reading emails, throwing in my own thoughts, and winging it with nothing really written down. It works… but let’s be honest, it’s not exactly the most efficient setup.
For a while, I’ve been considering changing things up by taking my face off camera for these stories and doing them as voiceovers instead. I’d add clips, walking footage, and visuals to bring the stories to life a bit more.
The main reason for this is simple, the current format takes a long time to edit, which limits how many stories I can get out.
This new approach would let me produce more content, more consistently.
That said, for my personal journey and my own stories, I’d still be on camera as usual.
I genuinely want your honest opinion on this. As a bit of a test, I’ve put together a video in this new style for you to check out below.
So what do you think? Should I stick with the current format and maybe create a separate channel for narrated stories, or is this a better direction for the channel overall?

I just want to take a moment to say a genuine thank you to everyone who’s shown support recently. The messages, comments, and kindness have honestly meant more than I can put into words — I’m incredibly grateful.
Things feel very calm and peaceful where I am right now, which is exactly what I needed. I was up at 4:30am this morning, taking it all in… definitely realised I need to invest in some warmer clothes though. That said, there’s something about the cold that gives you a real boost of energy — I’m feeling it.

After two days of travelling to get back to Manchester, including two missile threats in Abu Dhabi (one while I was on the plane and another in the airport) and a 14-hour layover, it’s been a seriously crazy journey in more ways than one. But I’ve finally made it back. Everything here is very expensive, so I need to get organised quickly. I’ll put a video out soon and explain everything
