Since the posting of yesterday’s challenge video, I’ve managed to spend an extra hour working on her eyes. Now I have some painting to do for the Orks in the Introduction set before I collect my Wave 2 order of StarCraft minis tomorrow from WarOffice. 💚 vs 💙 First battle report(list in comments) at WarOffice in Rochdale(affiliate below if you want to support the channel)
First game in 11th and it was a really fun one, against a well armoured 1000pt Space Marines with 10 Hellblasters, 2 dreads, jump boys and assault termies with a chaplain(waiting in the wings to flash my boys and nobs). My Orks went second and after a deep push in turn 1 from the Ultramarines seeing my Big Mek Dakkarig dropped to 4 wounds from very dread-nought fire indeed(thank god for those invulnerables). The space marines being so close I decided to activate my first WAAAAAAAAAGH! And advance my little green soldiers.
🌟 (So it turns out new Waaaaagh is sick!) The amount of clutch rerolls on advances had my boys flying up the board, shooting their lot(ammo runts are pretty fun) then into combat. Managed to kill off 1 of the Hellblaster squads with a Lt. and 2 dreadnoughts after a 6” advance and a miraculous 11” charge where the wierdboy warboss combo proved to be disgusting! My bikes and boyz charged the lonely ballistus Dreadnought unknowingly hanging near the waiting jump boys, the blind grots focusing on the dread ran right into the Jumpy inters, instantly sacrificing themselves to stop the inevitable heroic intervention, the whole 5 man squad simply rolled forward squishing all of the innocent grots.
2nd round and my near death Dakka rig was being targeted, the terminators deep struck my rear and they were rearing to put a big hole in my trukk. Grenades had my dakka rig to 1 wound and the 2nd hellblaster killed off 6 of my poor boys, their bodies exploding from the plasma lunch. Jump inters managed one mortal on the BMDR(awful name takes forever to write) causing it to explode, killing a poor innocent boy nearby, the Nob angry and the loss of a little snotling decided it was his time to heroically intervene. The Hellblasters barged into my Warbosses Squad they managed to cause a whole 2 wounds on my Nob, my Nob was sore but not as saw…ed in half as the rest of the marines when the Warboss got swinging!
The heroic Terminators charged my Trukk whilst their jumpy Boyz got wiped by my angry Nob and Boyz, the terminators slapped the living daylights out of my Trukk and by the time the chaplain turned around to rally his Boyz, all he saw was red mist as the green horde avanged their bestest new karr… by the time the chaplain turned his head to whip up his shield, Bigboss Greene Knob plunged his axe deep into the terminators skull and called the battlefield quite and boring, off to the next scrap lads!

A little more progress on Captain Sendini and a little look back at Titus. I love the new Armageddon sculpt, very dynamic with flowing movement, he looks ready to riposte. Titus on the other hand looking like the king of cool, despite mental stats he’s now supposed to be the calm commander of the 2nd, I love his model but his Lt. mini was more appropriately ‘him’ this is just too fancy… but I still love it.

So I today’s Miniature Showcase, we have the impressive Tau Stormsurge! This beast stands at a whopping 8” tall(when not made to be squatting) we’ve added an extra little character to our base(given he’s designed for a rectangular base that is no longer legal for the game) giving us an extra rail shot… although we might just claim one of the original weapons to have been his instead 😅
