Let me make something clear: I do not powerscale. Modern powerscaling is INCREDIBLY stupid, lacking in nuance and the logic that takes place with it is awful. Modern powerscaling is essentially nothing more than a silly trend where you take characters and reduce them to a ranking on an arbitrary tierlist.
People claim that Sonic beats Doom Slayer but when I see their explanation all I see is a bunch of powerscaling tiering system nonsense that, to everyone who knows what parental love feels like, just looks like a cope-fest. Doom Slayer DESTROYS Sonic. Not because he "outscales" him or has "better feats or statements" than him or any of that nonsense. Doom Slayer beats Sonic because it makes SENSE. Doom Slayer is unkilleable and Sonic, even in his super form, has no form of immortality negation or even immortality of his own, just extreme durability. One punch is enough for Doom Slayer to completely destroy Sonic instantly and Sonic has no counter to it nor does he have the durability to survive it. Even in his Super form, he dies to a single punch or slice from the Crucible because the entire gimmick of Doom Slayer and the Crucible is just "you die, no matter what your defenses are". His fists and Crucible are straight up immortality negation.
