Sometimes the most beautiful thing you take away from a collaboration is what you created together AND the genuine experience of that process. I enjoy being detailed and love when things come together as envisioned. However, sometimes, even the best plans take unexpected turns.
I remember the shoot for Impossibility Shatterer…We had two video shoots planned for that day, and things didn’t go quite as envisioned. We were far behind time... Yet, Minister Ada Ehi stayed from around 3 p.m. until past 10 p.m., giving the process her presence, patience, and grace. It reminded me of a principle I hold dear: the beauty of working with people is not just in what they bring to the art, but in who they are when things don’t go as planned. You made room for the process, and that travelled miles in my heart.
There is so much depth in your simplicity, and I love that I get to experience it ma!
I have said this to you privately, but needed to honour you publicly. Thank you for being a part of this sound. It was an honour creating Impossibility Shatterer with you.
