🍔Hello! Thanks for visiting Jersey Jeff Eats! My name is Jeff and I like to visit all kinds of food places including restaurants, fast food joints, diners, food trucks, grocery stores ... if it has to do with food and it's in New Jersey, I'm there! While the videos do have a review or my personal opinion on something, the channel is more about stories, locations and personal stuff but don't worry ... it always ends with food!

I enjoy hearing about new food items like a new sandwich at a fast food joint or a new snack at the corner grocery store. If it's new, I'm going to try it out for you guys, let you know what I think and have fun along the way!

If you visit Las Vegas (which I need to do soon), you know the cupcake company Sprinkles. Not only do they have brick and mortar stores, but the have become known for their cupcake ATMs. Unfortunately, Sprinkles has shuttered all of it's businesses and ATM with no notice. Sad. (By the way, at first look, the palm tree on the back of that dude's shorts is very unflattering until you realize it's a palm tree.)

🥪 NJ Food Win! 🥪 (You know I'm stopping by soon for a video!)

A New Jersey restaurant just snagged a big honor — even without being traditional fast food.

UK-based food site Lovefood.com named “The OG” sandwich from The Committed Pig as New Jersey’s best fast-food menu item.

The sandwich features fried pork roll (Taylor ham), melty American cheese, and a brioche bun — simple, classic, and very Jersey. The Committed Pig has locations in Manasquan, Morristown, and Summit, and is already well known for its pork roll creations and burgers.

Even NJ.com has ranked multiple items from the restaurant among the best in the state.

🏆 Not fast food — just fast favorite.

In 1856 the first "pork roll egg & cheese sandwich" was made by John Taylor. Taylor was an American businessman and politician who served in the NJ Senate. He created pork roll in 1856 and formed Taylor Provisions Company in 1888, establishing the brand "Taylor's Prepared Ham", sometimes called Taylor Ham. Little did Taylor know that the sandwich would become synonymous with New Jersey and the reason for the endless "pork roll vs Taylor Ham" debate.
