Sorry for the lack of videos the past week or so. We have been really busy with life. We had a big storm come through here that snapped some trees off in our yard. Hope everyone faired well with the storms in northern Minnesota last night. We had a couple trees break off but no damage. We are headed to Bemidji today to help my uncle clean up his place. He has a tree on his house and trees down all over his yard.

My parents sold their house and had a quick closing date, so my sisters and I have been helping them move out of their house this past week, which means I won’t have a video this weekend. Sorry! This was in an old issue of Backwoods Home Magazine. It’s about as simple as it gets. Anyone could build this. Low cost, 2x4 construction, don’t have to worry about snow load, would be easy to heat. Would make a nice hunting shack, backwoods cabin, or a nice little cabin to stay in while you build a bigger one. Wish I would have seen this when I built my first cabin in the woods of Alaska. Sure would have been better than the little dome tent I stayed in, and I would have felt a little more secure with all the grizzly tracks around.

This weekend I was the best man at my best friend Jeff’s wedding (he’s been in a couple videos). It was great evening. Excited to get back to the homestead and continue knocking out some projects. Hunting season starts this weekend too! This is my favorite time of year.
