This song came from one of those songwriting days that felt more like a conversation than a writing session. We were sitting together, talking about what God had been teaching us, reading scripture, and reflecting on what it really means to live a life devoted to Jesus. As we talked, the song just started to unfold naturally.
What I love most about this song is that it brings me back to a simple truth: Jesus deserves it all. In a world that constantly asks for our attention, loyalty, and affection, “To You” is a reminder that my highest devotion belongs to Him. Everything else has to take its rightful place beneath that.
It’s a declaration that no matter what voices, opinions, or distractions surround us, Jesus alone is worthy of our allegiance. My hope is that this song helps people lift their eyes back to Him and respond with the same prayer that’s at the heart of these lyrics: all my worship, all my affection, all of me… to You!
